PIF: DIY liquid requests and offers discussion

Hi All, I would love to test and review recipes. I've got stuff on order so I can making my own concoctions... muahahaha

Flavors: Fruit Flavors, or tobacco blend
Strength: 24ish (but open to any... I'm easy)
PG/VG Ratio: any put prefer 20+% VG
Likes/Dislikes: I like fruit flavors, but can't seem to find a tobacco I like, I'm hoping a mix might do the trick. Also not into mint, or menthol.

I would like to try some DIY recipes as well.

DIY Requests:
Flavors: Just about anything
Strength:18-36mg
PG/VG Ratio: Doesn't really matter to me, but prefer some VG in there for vapor.
Likes/Dislikes: I like sweet flavors, fruity flavors. Tobacco flavors are ok if they have a bit of sweetness. I like mint as well. Still new to vaping and haven't tried all that many flavors. Don't care for bitter tastes.

I think it might be best to just let the DIY makers post if they have some extra or want to give some samples out to try.

I agree, it seems like a lot of people want to try DIY stuff. I was checking if I had any extra lying around, but usually I vape most of the good stuff. By the time I got back around to checking this thread there were 2 new pages! I'd feel bad giving away stuff I thought was bad myself, so I figured I could use the flavorings I don't plan on using anymore and make some cheap 0ml batches to give away. The cost of nicotine and bottles is the more pressing concern, so the demand/supply ratio at the level of free is going to be way too high.

I'd suggest that in exchange for samples of stuff, the people requesting can offer something. Particularly stuff that a DIY'er would appreciate, but that might be different for everyone.

That said, if anyone wants to send me 3-10ml sized bottles I'd be happy to send samples as long as you let me know honestly how I did.

Description: Anything
Strength: 0-12 preferred to save on nicotine
PG/VG ratio: Anything

If you want Coffee, let me know exactly how you like your coffee, and if you want Cinnamon let me know how much like candy versus spicy natural flavor you want it (anywhere in between).

I said this was an experiment and as we go you all are giving me some great ideas. I think I am going to divide the threads into wants and offers. That way the ones that mix can see who wants what and match it to what they have.

I also think that with the demand that is already showing that we are going to have to implement some sort of trade off or the ones mixing are going to go broke. I know this group and they will give it all away, right down to the last drop.

So, for now, lets stop with requests and come up with some ideas on how to compensate the ones mixing without actually having money change hands.

I'm going to put this in the original post also so it gets a little more exposure. Lets hear (or see,lol) those great ideas I know you all can come up with.

i dunno, it's nothing to boil to sterilize bottles - and from what i've read full time DIYers (i'm amature at best) always seem to b in short supply of bottles - so instead of whoever's chucking them - maybe trade x bottles for Y-ml of DIY

I think this thread is a great idea...here are my thoughts...

im sure it would be easy enough for most of the DIY's to come up with a simply "supply" list of things they normally need. when it comes time for a request to be made we can look at the "sticky" list and see what in general would be an acceptable trade for sample.

Let it be bottles, flavors, supplies...etc

Just my thoughts...

Ok, here's another idea.
Sometimes people may want or need something entirely different. Person A might say, "I would love to have a drip tip in one of those pretty colors." Or Person B could ask for a 510>808 adapter. Then they could post what they are offering. Perhaps it's 5 mls of their famous BBB or they could offer 3-4 samples of their current ready made DIY stock. Possibly even Person C might not DIY, but they've managed to collect quite a few samples of other peeps juices, so they might offer to trade 5 samples bottles for someone else's 5 sample bottles, etc and so on.
It could be a straight up swap thread.

Swapping makes a lot of sense. Each DIY'er would probably have different needs or wants to swap for. We could actually do the DIY swaps right in the swap thread that we have.

Example: "I have five 5ml bottles of my DIY Whatever Liquid. Willing to swap for empty bottles, plain VG or Capella's flavorings."

Flavors: I would like someone to take a shot at a "Blackberry Danish" for me. Ideally, it would be a strong sweet (but not TOO sweet) cake flavor with a Blackberry compliment.

Jules, this is a hard one. There's a few diy things that i would love to offer up....but would have to limit them, because of bottles i have, flavorings that i have on stock, all that jazz.

So...could we possibly have them return stamps to us for the cost of postage or something ? Just an idea...

Sorry, but we can't have money exchanging hands because that would put them in the category of supplier and that brings on a whole new set of rules.
