Yeah it's very frustrating. I'm tired of asking for help. I'M the one that is helping others out, hooking people up when they need help, fixing their computers, helping them move, etc, so being in this position, it doesn't feel right.

I'm going to bed, I'll check back in the morning. You guys are great

hahahaha i fix pc's for a living using remote desktop sharing we really ARE in the same boat

I really appreciate the offer, but the battery life of the 510 batteries is scary. I've been stranded with my 510 battery being dead a few times. A PCC would solve that problem, but I don't have one of those.

Box mods that I can make? I don't know if I have the supplies or know-how. Last time I tried to just remove a connector from a dead PT, I ruined the connector. It's like, I thought this would be easy being a vaper. I'm faced with dead equipment, I had to ask for help with liquid, and I can't even remove a simple connector from a dead passthrough. Failure after failure. Now I sound like I'm venting.

If anyone has something like a box mod or something that uses 14500 batteries that you don't need/use and if it's ok, I'd gladly give it a good home. I wish I could just buy a new device, or pay someone to build something, but being flat broke now until I start work again (HOPEFULLY I get the job I'm pushing for). If this is too much to ask for, I understand.

I have a ghetto juice box I could send you. It takes 14500 batts. If you are interested send me a pm with your addy. However I wouldn't be able to ship it out until tomorrow. But this would be great for backup.

Even a ghetto, duct-taped, "careful, you have to hold it a certain way for it to work" box mod would do. It's far better than having nothing. PM sent, thanks a million. This definitely made my morning brighter.

I love helping people with their computers. Anything from the easy virus removal to the more complicated building of custom systems that require liquid cooling and case modding. Computers are a passion of mine and I've been doing freelance computer repair for the better part of 10 years, and the job I'm hoping for is at a local computer repair shop. I'm really hoping I get it, as I've never worked "on the books" as a tech, or even as sales and consulting for a repair shop of any kind. This will be my step into a career I've wanted for years. On top of that, it will be the best paying job I've had.

I have been reading thru thru last few pages of this thread and I found it very disheartening.Everyone seems to want mods and LR attys. When some of us started vaping these things didnt even exist or were very expensive. We did just fine with stock batts and attys. Then we saved up our money little by little and got better things and slowly moved up,step by step.I find it upsetting when someone offers a batt or something and its not good enough, they want better than that.We all didnt start out with the best.Vaping is an investment in your health.Use that money you always found for smokes to buy your ecig stuff.Everyone here wants to help,we look for ways to help, but come on.Everyone has to make a little effort and try.If you want mods and fancy stuff, then save up the money your not spending on smokes and get some stuff. There are alot of very kind people here, please dont ruin that by taking advantage of it.Ask only for what you need to keep you going until you can afford better.PLEASE,We are not a non profit charity,we pay for these things with our own hard earned money. Please just think about it.

I fully understand and i hope i did not come off in that way at all. I was looking for any recommendations to keep me vaping because i had just lost what kept me going in vaping for no apparent reason and couldn't figure out why. I don't have much but within the next few days am planning on putting anything i have extra up for free to make up for all the help i have been given to pass it along. I have been offering trades for what equipment i do have and even computer repair to try to offer as any kind of trade. I really do apologize if i came off as trying to take advantage that was not my intention at all

I didnt mean anything like that, you offered your help and that is wonderful.I didnt intend to make anyone feel bad.I was just trying to say that we all started small and it took time to move up and get better things.I dont want anyone to feel bad or offer more than they can.Eventually you will be the one helping others.Just take it slow and it gets better as you save more money from not smoking.Give it time.

I think the no apologies rule applies here. :)

Needs are something that you need. like an atty, requesting an expensive kind, makes it a want. I think that's what you're getting at here right?

no one is in trouble, if they were, a Mod would have stepped in.

we're all friends/family here. no grudges allowed. and If we need a black sheep I'll totally volunteer for the role. If someone has to tkae blame for something I will even if it's not my fault. I can play scape goat, it's hereditary. :)

There's a chat thread for it, but I thought I'd offer my response.

You make an excellent point. Things such as mods, LR atties, mega batteries, pretty much upgrade items are a luxury in the vaping world for some, but for others they are the norm. For me, I started out with an 801 I bought at the mall, and after some time, I bought a DSE-905 and a couple LR atties. To me, this was a HUGE upgrade. Longer battery life, a cooler looking device, and an atty that performs far better than the normal atties did. This device, with an LR atty, became my daily unit, and I used it all the time until it died :( This was an upgrade, but in reality, it kept me in the vaping world much better than the regular 801 did.

It takes a HUGE effort for some to swallow their pride and ask for help. Some never ask for help and end up relapsing and we never hear about it, and for them, I assume they have a fear in their heart that they will be seen as taking advantage of someone by asking for help, so they don't ask and they fall off the face of the vaping world.

I agree that a person shouldn't ask for too much, or ask for something that is to much to ask for, but on the flip-side, I ENCOURAGE people to ask for help, even if it's for something that might be seen as a luxury item. If it keeps them going, if it helps them in any way, it's worth fulfilling the need. It tears me up that I don't have Egos or Silver Bullets to give away to people who are in need, and it hurts my heart that I have had to ask for help when I feel that I should be the one helping.

I don't want to ever scare anyone away by saying they shouldn't ask for mods or mega batteries (not saying that you are), and they should be given the opportunity to throw it out there and see if someone responds. It's uncomfy enough to have to swallow pride, it's even worse if someone says "go away, you're asking for too much".

I hope I didn't offend anyone, upset anyone, or overstep any boundaries. This is a sensitive topic for me, and I almost said nothing.

If a Cadillac is your norm , then asking for someone to replace that for free out their hard earned cash is a bit much ,better get used to a ford until u can afford the Cadillac yourself again.

Especially when u were offered a Ford and turned it down,

Most of us started with a 510 bat and many still use one . Sorry no one can give u your norm Cadillac. most on here dont have one to give away so someone else can have the Cadillac, while they themselves are using a 510
