LR atty or carto? I get 2ohm Boges (cartos) from Litecig for my eGo and they're awesome. They hold 30 drops easy and don't suck the life out of your eGo. LR atty is tricky. I say stick with Joye, and 1.7ohm or higher. I'll be testing one out a bit later today so I'll let you know what the performance is like. I've tried a few others (not Joye) and the results weren't all that consistant.

Yeah, for sure let me know about the attys. I was asking for attys, but those Boge cartos sound good, too!

I'm vaping one of these: LitecigUSA Premium Joye 510 Atomizer right now on my eGo (all morning actually) and it's all good! :)

I got one of those to try out and it is rockin' on the Ego. I think I'll get some of those LR 510 Boges for the convenience and portability factor for my trip to Vegas. I did get my auto 808 batt yesterday and it was quite finicky at first. My manual is starting to act weird now, too. Maybe cuz I used LR cartos on it. But yeah, the auto would hardly activate at first, now it's doing ok and I'm liking it better this morning. I'm thinking about getting an XL auto. I'm just gonna be drowning in batts!

Right, LR + eGo = Rockin'. Indeed. :)

I was loving it when I first started using LR attys on my Ego. Then later I read about some issues that many people experienced with using LR on 650mah batteries.
Basically over time it will diminish the batteries lifespan because of the way the lower resistance draws on the battery.

2nd issue and most important, if the atty/carto drops below 1ohm battery will die, it will fry out the electronics in the batt because it is causing it to discharge too quickly. (Bear in mind I'm no electronics wiz so I may have misunderstood the exact "why it happens").

I took my ever faithful blue Lr atty that I love and tested it on the multimeter. It showed fluctuating between 1.1-1.2 ohms. Mush too low and too close for comfort for my taste. I switched back to a standard atty.

I still use it, just not heavily. Also looking back, I had an incident with a clone batt I bought from TV, I thought the batt was defective, and to a certain point it was, but it exhibited a behavior described in the thread, so I am cautious now because of that.

But then again I was rocking that LR atty several weeks without issues and it still works whenever I fire it up. If you notice, some vendors are posting on their sites not to use LR on Ego batts.
Just something to bear in mind. Not a big deal to many people if they have to replace a batt, all of our gear has to be replaced sooner or later, but for some folks who are on a budget it could be a real problem.

You're right, and I do make sure I use only the 2.0ohm or higher cartos and nothing lower than 1.6 on the attys. If the ohms aren't listed in the atty description, I email and ask. :)

you pretty much got it right...about 99.5%...
what it is with the eGos/ rivas/hello16/standard 510 batteries is actually that the mosfet in them isn't really built to withstand the higher amperage that a LR demands...so using them causes the mosfet to degrade faster than normal... exactly how fast is a crapshoot... in any case the mosfet can fail one of 2 ways, either open or closed, one the atty won't get any power the other and the atty won't turn off... regardless at that point the battery is fried (the actual cell inside is still good but the mosfet is fried)... if you had the ability to take apart the battery and replace the mosfet it'd work again til that mosfet failed...

I have read this same info a couple other times here at ECF. I have a question.
What is the LR atty designed for? What battery?

I have a Buzz and was informed at the Buzz ECF forum that the LR atty will diminish, and possibly damage (shorten life span) of our batteries on the Buzz. They do not recommend the LR atty for the Buzz.

I have 510's, hello016, eGo 650mah, and Buzz. I have LR atty's laying in the box and I'm not comfortable using them on any of my equipment.

Thank you, in advance, for your responses,
Paula

you can use them without damage to the battery on any 18650 battery, or the 14500 or 16340 AW LiMN high drains

My friend is driving me crazy!! !lmao! I got her into vaping and got her to order a eco on black friday.... she sees my ego and does not like it. ( so I will probably be selling the eco for her) anyway... she wants an ecig that looks like a regular cigarette. Does anyone know where I can find a good ecig that looks like a cig?????

I have a friend w/ the same opinions about ecigs looking like cigs. I got her an auto 510 battery and some prefilled 510 cartos. May not be the same color as a cig, but you hold it and "smoke" it like one. I still like to fire up the auto batt I got from YOU in a PIF forever ago. :) It even looks like a cig, being white w/ a red LED. Black carto kinda gives it away though. ;)

Bianca, This was the only place in the US that I could find that carried them, but they are out of stock right now. Maybe you could contact the vendor and see when they'll be back in stock. Or you could post a WTB in the classified forum. Someone might have one to sell. Good luck!

Thanks darlin'! :) I saw they were out of stock...someone is checking on when they'll be back for me. That's a good idea about the classifieds. Thank you for the suggestion. :)

I need some help !! Where in the U.S. can I get batteries that will fit my Super 6 ? I LOVE this mod...its my every day ALL day machine. But when I got it used, it came with two sets of UltraFire LC15266 500mah 3.6V batts, again, used. I know...I know..I know. "Not safe"

Im very aware.. and NEVER over charge or over dis-charge. I have also never even gotten them "warm". That being said....please if you know where they are hiding....point me in that direction. And they dont have to be 3.6V I would be happy with 3V

Thank You in advance for any help !!

the AW IMR 14500 works very well in it...
outside of that 2 CR2 batteries or even 2 14250 batteries

the 15266 is just code for a CR2....and it goes against customary battery sizing....normally the first 2 numbers is diameter... the second 2 is the length and it ends in a zero that stands for cylindrical cell ....
so why that battery ends in a 6 I couldn't ever understand...

long story shorter.... some 15266 fit some don't... some won't fit in the tube.... the protected ones didnt seem to but the unprotected ones did

oh and madvapes carries them

all together as long as the diameter fits and stacked they total less than 58mm I believe it was they'll fit in the super 6....

and I know it's an excellent mod
