i've owned a pila charger since the beginning (this one: Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.)

i've only ever owned 14500 batteries.

first question: will 18490 batteries fit in there?

second question: how on earth could 18650 batteries fit in there like the description suggests ("Pila IBC Intelligent Charger for Li-ion Batteries: 14500, 17500, 17670, 18490, 18500, 18650")? considering my 14500s just make it..

using this as a basis: http://cdn1.bigcommerce.com/server3.../657/aw-imr-1__38898.1326871774.1280.1280.jpg

(to those from the future viewing this post after the above pages have changed/died, sorry)

edit: not with my charger right now..i'm guessing that those things at the top can unscrew to allow taller batteries?

Hey guys. Glad I found this thread.
I just now ordered my first REO!! So can I join your club? Hope so.
Here's my question:
I ordered the Reo 2.0 mini 18490.
Then I ordered the Pila charger & 2 AW IMR 18490 batteries. Do I need anything else? Will the batteries fit just fine in the charger?
Reason I'm askin' is I've been reading about folks needing these:
Magnet spacers
And
Button top vs flat top batteries.
Are these anything I need to worry about?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Buleltte,

If the charger has little round black rubber spacers, ( that look like tiny wheels) you can charge the 18490's on those slots. I'd suggest getting a couple more batteries for when you have to charge the ones you have in the Reo, so You won't have to go vapeless. You'll probably want the button top AW IMR batteries,,they're the best for the Reos.

You'll get better info from more seasoned Reo users, I'm sure.

Welcome to Reoville!

Thanks for the welcome Oldbroad.
I'm really excited to become a Reonaut. Just need to wait for the vapemail now. I'm sure the Pila charger will have distructions...errr...instructions with it.
I will indeed need more batteries & ohm meter too. I will wait to see what I get then place another order for the backup stuff.
Prolly order the REO repair kit too.
Yay!!!

Welcome, Bullette :)
Oldbroad is right...you'll probably want 1 or 2 more batteries. It is a good idea to allow a freshly charged battery to rest for an hour or so before use. I prefer having an extra battery ready to go while having one in use and one in the charger....you know, just in case. Button top batteries have a better chance of a solid connection....without needing to press the button down as far to make the connection. Magnets are not necessary...but if you have flat top batteries, may be helpful. If you don't have them, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Welcome new Reonaut! Congrats on your purchase!

The batteries and the Pila charger are perfect! The Pila comes with 2 spacers, ready for you to charge your 18490's!

RTD has just what you need for your REO. Great prices and use code ECF5 for 5% off.

You need a multimeter to read your battery volts. It can also read voltage on atty's and cartos.

With a new REO you should not need the repair kit. But a extra spring and perhaps a button top would be good to purchase!

Welcome Bullette the Cowdog!! You are in good presence here!!
Btw, I have the exact same Reo 2.0 mini that you're getting- I'm vaping it now...such a great mod!!!
You will enjoy and delight in her!! I'm running her with a rebuildable atomizer (ERA) with a 510-510 adapter and inverted gold colored Ego cone that I had to grind down a bit...that and I torched the stainless steel atty so it's golden color and matching the door on the dip tip end with some other colors in between- so beautiful!! It vapes awesomely this way too! I have also kicked it with a Kick and 18350 batteries, but there is really no need to do that as long as the ohms on the atty are below 2.0.

Thanks tenndave
We're gonna be stylin' man!
USPS says my batteries & Pila charger will be here tomorrow. I'd rather have my batteries prior to my Reo than receive my Reo without any batteries. That would drive me bonkers looking at my new black & gold Reo and not being able to use it. LOL
Patience. Course I have to wrap it & leave it under the tree. :(
