Well now that I have been biting my tongue waiting for most of you to post your opinions I decided to post mine. First I have total respect for you all and normally agree with most of you on all subjects but on this one...NO WAY!!!!!!!!!! Not even close!!!!
99.9999 % is in favor of yes but the subject title is NOT is the PILA a good, great or the very BEST charger...its

Pila Charger Question - worth the cost?.

I own a inexpensive Tenergy multicharger like this one for almost 2 years Amazon.com: Tenergy Multifunctional Charger for Li-ion Cylindrical Rechargeable Batteries (14500, 18500, 18650, RCR123A): Electronics
charger.JPG

and back when I bought it was under $9.....almost 2 years ago...did I already mention almost 2 years ago!!!! With the exception of 4 months of that time when I quit vaping and MIA from here it has been in daily use.
Here are God honest facts:
1) Batts when fully charged come off at 4.0-4.2v depending on the batt and age of the batt.
2) The house has never burnt to the ground due to this cheap ... charger
3) When I accidently forgotten to pull fully charged batts off the charger overnight the charger or batts never got warm nor have I ever smoked a batt or even had one leak or explode.

So...is the Pila a better battery charger than mine....HELL YA. Is a safer charger than mine....Sure....will it charge batts faster than mine.........again HELL YA......BUT (not the subject of this thread imo). Its not worth the $50 after shipping. Mine get the same job done for $42 less so again to me not worth it.

I get it. Why not buy the best if you can afford it. We do it when We buy REOs ...right? See, for me it priority...

Priority #1 the PV...buy the best = REO priority

Priority #3742th the battery charger.

Sorry this has always been a Pet Peeve with me cause with the difference money I can get attys, more batteries, juice or top off my car gas tank...just say'n. Now the fact I that I never have had a backup charger is pretty stupid so I will order one today....and I know what you are all thinking....another tenergy....NOPE. The price hike since I bought mine at $8 and now is $13 no longer worth it. Sooooooo I think I'll pick up one of these...

I have the trustfire tr-001 and it works perfect for me. I accidentally left some 14500's on it last night charging all night and woke up this morning shocked that I fell asleep without turning it off. I've done this a couple times when my sleeping meds kick in and I just forget. Well anyways they charged perfect, not too high off the scale and my house didn't burn down again(not charger related, but electrical fire). This charger is my first charger and has been working perfect since the day I bought it. $10.00 is pretty cheap and I have a feeling it will last years to come. I won't leave it on over night on purpose again because that's just not safe at all and I'd hate to lose everything again. Just be safe everyone!

I wouldn't know if the Pila is worth it. I keep hearing its a better charger, but my charger is a TR-001 and my backup charger is also a TR-001. I've been using mine for almost a year with the only flaw being that it no longer does two batteries at once which is fine, because I have 8 batteries in rotation and never need to charge more than one at a time. I figure once I have tossed the one I'm using and am using my backup, I might look into a better charger. Right now my batteries come off the charger at 4.19-4.22 regardless of how long I leave them there.

I got a Pila because it makes all the vaping chicks get naked for me. And vaping chicks have bigger sweater puppies than non-vaping chicks according to another thread I read a few weeks ago.

Well then...FINALLY a reason that makes perfect sense why Pila is worth it. I retract my previous post!

I suffer from charger envy. I've been using the AD-103 since January. It has worked peerfecty with ultrafire 18650s. It charges mine to 4.18 or 4.19 everytime. Its the only charger I have. Its also a multi-voltage charger. It does take forever to charge batteries but with the bigger batteries thats never been an issue for me. I have to get a backup though. Its a great size for those that travel and want to travel light and compact.
