I have a little hobby with painting the engravings of my guns. I was looking my Subtank and a little light bulb when off. Pretty slick huh? Just wanted to share

Wow..I did not even know that section existed..thanks so much

Then you will love this as well: Google image search Patina Mods

You can force patina brass/copper. You can use alcohol ink to patina stainless steel. Lots of YouTube videos on doing this.

And if you don't want to mess with this there are wraps for mods: www.jwraps.com

LOL. Used to do that too with all my S&W's. I understand red enamel nail polish does the trick as well.

Meantime. Predictable simplicity…

Good luck all. :)

That does look good. Has anyone ever spray painted their mod? If I taped up my buttons and screen real good, would it be ok to spray paint it?

My experience with spray paint says no. Eventually it will peel off.

Yeah... I'm not sure how well Spray Paints would hold up to with Daily Use on a Mod.

I recently got my Hands on this Porcelain Paint and Gloss Finish.

Pebeo Porcelaine 150 Paint - BLICK art materials

I did a Test of it on a piece of Rem Metal. 1/2 Paint and 1/2 Painted and then Glossed. The just the Paint looked good. But the finish Didn't look like it would Hold Up that well. The Painted/Glossed Looked Great. And the Finish has a Kiln Glazed feel to it.

And I plan to do an IPV Mini body in the next couple of days.

I painted my Eleaf Istick 50 watt plastic cover and I painted my copper Derringer-with an artist

Yeah I use to use nail polish but sometimes the base would mess up the matte finish on some of my pistols. Sharpie makes oil base paint pens that works great for painting engravings, plus the excess wipes off real nice

Heard that. I used an engraver's pen for white scrip (had a blunt needle like tip). Dunno whatcha call 'em. Picked it up at a shot show in my smithin' days. Nah, I meant nail polish for the SubT's. Lot a real estate for a pen. LOL

Take care n g'luck.
