Ya know I never understood till now, that vapers are so in love with their vapes they refuse to admit it may cause issues with some people.

In fact the attitude is very similar to our foes that believe vaping is nothing but bad news.

You know Reign the logic in your statement is hard to argue with but for me vaping was how I was able to go though the CIGARETTE withdrawals and the way I feel physically is only due to becoming a NON-SMOKER and a VAPER. Well I have to admit I am biased but while I was quitting I had so many naysayers and still do I can't help but stand behind the vaping is SAFE mentality!

And now I have my first MOD so I did the smart thing but cutting my nicotine intake in half because I figure between the new gear and experimenting (Air Flow/Watts) I am going to go through some juice today. So far about 5 hours into my new setup and tomorrow AM I will update with any side affects.

He posted last night 10pm. He left shortly after posting. Could be he is working today. He is a regular poster of sorts. Has quite a few under his belt. I would guess that he is not one of those, that we see every now and then, that post health issues and then split never to be seen again.

Let's not start a witch hunt here. ;)

Hunting?..............................No, no, no
Data Mining.......:)

I'm the same way and please don't take my statement the wrong way. I love vaping it killed a 23+ year habit that was on par to kill me.

But if we completely deny that vaping has any side effects at all for everyone aren't we just as full of it as people who claim it only does harm?

So far I have only had the one side effect but if I have never experienced it in my life and it starts happening after I took up vaping what else should I think it is?

Blame it on the winter when it has been happening through the summer, or be honest and say that ya know it gives me nose bleeds but not cancer. I still think that is a positive statement.

I will admit to Vaping causing a slight dehydration as I have experienced it myself with Cig-A-Likes that I was refilling. raising the Nicotine level 2 fold and chain vaping all night even in bed, but now with my new gear I am running it through the paces of a testing phase so I will be doing a few more MLs of juice than normal but I did the smart thing by cutting it in half. Same juice manufacturer but less nicotine.

ok so I never get pimples not in my life until after i started vaping, the nose bleeds are maybe once to twice a month but for no reason, I found some blood stains on my pillow a few times in the last 6 months, and I am in my late 30s

As far as seeing a dr, I wanted to see if this was common with anyone who vaped more than a year prior. and no I dont pick or touch the pimples, its actually one red pimple or big red spot/sore on my nose but in different spots. i also dont exhale through the nose

now i got 4 of them, 3 tiny and 1 big, actually those 3 small ones are now scars and are still red... became scars after being there for a week about

and yes I do work thank you and just got home

i also have dry knuckles, maybe i got rippers disease! but in all seriousness, was wondering if people who vaped more than a year have the same symptons, why waste money on a dr if its common

thanks for the uh serious responses.. x.x

p.s. I joined the forum dec 2014 and have super member for status for alot of posts, also ecf veteran so no I dont post and never return etc..

i also weight lift and do martial arts so yes im active

May I ask what you do for a living? Any recent changes? Being serious, I have a long time friend that was Madly into custom fiberglass work, and an expert craftsman.

His Fiber-glassing career ended with Nose surgery and Drs. orders to prevent recurrence. At first it was a few minor nose bleeds and periodic Bumps/sores. Things escalated rather rapidly until the only option was surgical repair.
All started with Particulates in the Pours.

I know about Particle issues as I have had 2 Benin nodes on my Face. Both were from particles in pours.
The Body creates protective webbing around foreign matter to protect itself.

I admittedly do not get concerned over Additional Hydrating. Even at 130lbs and extremely low BMI, I have only had dehydrating issues in extreme heat working a manual labor job on 12hr shifts.(Real, non-stop labor) Still, unless a critical concern, Coffee and an occasional Soda are my liquids of choice - Hate plain water. :grr:

Vaping - .4-.8ohm 50/50 to 70/30, I go through about 20ml/day. About the only thing I notice is occasional heavy chest and a Slick forehead.
Even my Laptop stays cleaner on its own,15" away.

Otherwise, I got nothing - sorry.

I am a network administrator and have been for 6 years going on 7 so no I dont work around dangerous hazards to my health, except for MS Windows... :) though I use Linux on my laptop and home PC

I also only vape at 3mg of nicotine

to be honest when I smoked cigarettes and I did for 23 years 2 packs a day, I never had issues except smelling bad from it, no coughing etc now that I have been vaping, the soreness of my nose, these red spots, pimples, scars, nose bleeds, are now occurring, I am contemplating about quitting vaping all together now

It's not vaping it's because you sleep outside in the winter, in a fiberglass bed, that is infested with bed bugs.

Simple explanation is always the right one. :)

Evil, I left the Automotive Field and went into computers and now work as a Network Engineer. I can say that in this field one of the things I have noticed is I am exposed to more dust than when I was working on cars and trucks all day. Some of the workstations, server rooms or network closets are so dusty and dirty I find my nose is extremely dry like I was sanding primer doing body work. Maybe it is a combination of environmental things?

Honestly, If you contemplating quitting all together, nothing wrong with that. Using Vaping as a stepping stone to Freedom from Smoking is a great idea.
If not, then consider you may simply be doing to much to soon.
Cutting Back may been be the solution.

Martial arts? Stretching and warming up first, then Sparing.

Little bit of Smoking.............................................Whole lot of Vaping.

Until recently, people transitioned with much lighter gear and lower consumption rates. Now new Vapers can buy the latest High Tech gear delivering 10x performance.
The Human Factor has not changed. The illness comment Rate has.

I'd still opt for an annual checkup or such. Most are fully covered by insurance now. Wellness programs.
Something to think about :)

I tried cutting down my smoking and vaping but it did not work for me. I eventually stopped vaping and just smoked still was purchasing the cartridges for my E-Cigs and had a boatload of boxes built up in stock. If I did not have that mega-supply to keep digging into a trip to buy vaping gear would have resulted in buying a pack of smokes. I suffered through the withdrawals and it was not fun and it was hell but I am here. Today a guy at the vape shop invited me out to have a smoke with him and I was able to say thank you but NO Thanks 1.5 years since I gave them up! :w00t:

your data centers need to be cleaned, mine are spotless and dust free in 50 degree temperature and every cable is labeled but yeah its not dust, to be honest the outside has more dust than a PC's dirty power supply

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
Just a thought does your tank leak? Are you touching your nose with oily hands? Could be as simple as clogging your pores causing the pimples. As for the nose bleeds if you blow lots of clouds out your nose you could be drying out the membranes causing it but I cannot stress this suggestion enough............

GO TO THE DOCTOR and get yourself a professional medical opinion!:danger:
your post made me wonder about touching his face after dealing/fixing a leaky tank. (i am wondering about 'Nic to the skin'

as for dry humidity,, i used a dehumidifier in HOUSTON just a few weeks ago i also 'lubed' up my nose a bit with some Vics vapor rub,, which i am 'touching up' a bit every day.--i wasn't having the problems the poster said,, its was more of a 'diy treatment for vapors tongue/fatigue',, i think the humidifier helped a lot and the Vic's vapor rub did help my taste sense a bit imho

They do recommend wearing gloves when working with vaping ingredients don't they? I had just refilled a cart on a cig-a-like one time and it spit a little juice and I got it on my finger and accidentally touched my eye. That was not pleasant and raw vaping juice also does not taste too good either.

i dont touch my face when DIYing nor when juice leaks from my rda especially not my nose, still does not explain why my nose is red and sore except for exhaling vapor through my nose

yeah i hear ya, lazy techs

These are not my Data Centers these are multiple different locations across the region in every type of industry you can think of. I am a contract/consultant. Some are pristine and immaculate but some are scary and time to break out a hazmat suit.

Didn't you say you did not realize you were blowing the vapor out your nose before? Are you so perfect you can't accept the possibly you touched your nose without realizing it? For every possible suggestion given here you have an answer, so if you have all the answers why are you asking for one? Go ahead blame whatever you think is the reason.

I am done with this thread...................:2c::2c::2c::2c::2c:

Since you do martial arts, have you been punched in the face more frequently recently? That could be leading to the bloody nose and the acne. I find that if the person who is punching me doesn't wash their hands regularly, I get more zits. A few weeks ago, I was in a bad mood and looking to throw down so I went into a biker bar (but it turned out to be a lesbian biker bar) looked this guy right in the eye and said "Get out of my seat Douchey LaRou." He stood up and he seemed to just keep going up and up and I got that "oh crap" feeling. He turns out to be a she I was staring her right in the chest and it wasn't exciting. It was terrifying. She was the biggest, most muscular woman in the world. I figured she's a girl, I can still take a girl! She beat the hell out of me. I'm pretty sure with one hand cause I only saw the blur on that side and when she was done, her friends each took a shot as I passed into unconsciousness. In the hospital, I noticed the acne forming on top of the bruises when I looked in the mirror and realized she must have had dirty hands when she pummeled me. I learned two things that day. 1. If you go looking for a fight, a fight is what you'll get and 2. Based on recent research, Sloths (the animals) are actually a lot more active than we first realized, sleeping only 8 hours a day rather than the 15 to 16 previously thought. (I know it doesn't have anything to do with the fight but it was on the tv when I came to while I was in the hospital. The nature channel was on.)
