"I am sorry to say that I have received a batch of nicotine that is causing the PG and VG to turn a faint Pink in color. This is simply a reaction with a new chemical that the supplier used during the extraction process. Upon contacting my supplier he has assured me that this discoloration does not affect the quality or the strength of the nicotine liquid. It is just a cosmetic reaction." 50MG/ML Tinted Nic Liquid

What would cause it to turn pink?

What do yall think about it's safety? :(

I have seen this in the higher nicotine juices, the nicotine reacts with the VG and turns a light shade of pink. But I have not really seen it in lower concentrations. I Have not had a problem with the ones I used that had a light pink shade, vaped just fine.

Since it's Levy, I'd trust his word.

As to what caused it to turn pink, I have no idea. I CAN state that some flavorings change the color of my e-liquid from clear to pink or brownish over the course of a day or three. Others cause no color change. And the colored liquids taste and act just fine.

I just bought some of this. He is offering it at a great price and from what I have read here I trust Levy when he says the quality is not affected.
You can trust me to say that if Levy says it is OK, it is OK. Levy does not have any ants on his property. I recently inadvertently screwed up some juice with expired PG. I was told to dump it immediatly and a new jug would be one the way, no questions asked.

When I discovered there might be a culprit vice Levy's liquid, I contacted Levy for a way ahead. The bad PG was dumped and the liquid was vaped. I squared off with Levy and I can guarantee you that he is the only guy who will ever sell me high octane nic liquid. He takes his business seriously only after the safety of his customers. Enjoy!

Just ordered from Levy again. He is the ONLY person I will buy my nic from.

I noticed that the OP questioned the safety of the juice. Not once have I read so far anyone flaming the poster, or Levy badmouthing the poster. No attacks, no snide comments, no name calling, no crap.

Levy posted on his site that this liquid didn't meet his high standards, and has offered it at 35% off cost. If no one wants pink liquid, it will be 2 weeks before another shipment arrives.

Only a businessman with integrity and moral standards would do something likethis.

Through his actions, commitment to quality and consumer safety (and being a nice guy) Levy has earned my respect and admiration. A few vendors would do well to learn a thing or two from Levy.

If you have pink liquid from levy, its fine, use it.

If you want to return it, He's really stepped up, and will replace it.

Either way, I think this is awesome customer service. This guy really has commitment to his customers.

But thats extolled in many other posts, so I wont continue that here.

As far as the pink color, all I can come up with, is a small percentage of the raffinate (the concentrated extraction of what they're trying to take away) stayed in the nicotine, then reacted with the base (PG) to color it.

Mind you, were talking probably a hundredth of a percent or less.

In my opinion, it boils down to the pink color comes from the refiner didnt remove all of the other tobacco compounds from the nicotine. Maybe 1/2 of 1% is still in there. The remaining compounds reacted with the pg, and turned it pink.

No safety issue, no flavor issue, and no strength issue.

But, this is just my opinion, from spitballing what could have happened.

(I was an engineer at a pharmaceutical company for years, and have also done consulting for the company that makes Nicoderm)

I'm not sure who this Levy is...not trying to flame someones BFF here, I'm just asking questions.
You asked a legitimate question and got a legitimate answer.

I for one didn't think for a second that you were spamming, and I am sure most folks felt the same way. We as members checked your link out, and once we found out who you were talking about, re-assured you that all was fine. Nothing more nothing less.

Ok good, Switched. I just wanted that to be clear, the vaping community is so tight :)

And the86d...in just general business reference...LLC means you can sue, but only the company and up to the value of the company.
You can't sue him personally and take personal property..such as the owners home or vehicles. It protects the owners personal assets...and is a smart move for any small business owner. (not that we need to sue anyone...I just used to own a LLC for my property management company)
