If it hasn't been said, I found an 8" churchwarden for $17. I'm going to get one when I get paid this week. Wish I had seen this before I made other purchases today!!!!
Churchwarden stem

Urrr... I don't like the fact that they don't have o-rings or a Universal. Grimm did a review of their pipes and they had sent a stem with it. Stem just fell right out of most of his cartos and tanks.

Good to know. Thanks. Looked to be compatible from the picture. Can it be modified with an o-ring? or do you know another manufacturer of churchwardens that isn't changing $30?

If it doesn't work, you might try adding a Cherry Vape Universal adaptor. They came with my stems (and have no o-ring) but they've fit perfectly in every atty & tank I've used.

Awesome!! I bookmarked the page for future reference. I ordered one of the churchwardens I referenced earlier and when I get it in I'll see how it all fits. I'll give these a try if I have trouble.

Alright, ordered my next 3 pipes:

Smok gold epipe- Going all gold on this one- Gold Artemis Carto, Gold cone, Gold drip tip extenders and a gold skull drip tip.

King epipe- going to use either a Protank 2 Mini V2 or Aspire BDC Maxi on it. Bought the 8" churchwarden for this one but from what you all said it will need some adjusting.

Black Pioneer epipe- Going to put a Smoke Protank2 Mini V2 on it with Silver drip tip extenders and long drip tip. ( Think it's 3" but not sure)

This was my desk at work this morning. Not all mine, the dark 18350 Jazz top left belongs to another AVF forum member, while the dark 18500 bottom right is yet to find a new owner. Donated by Romaniac for a future fund raiser when needed. The other four are mine.

The newest addition to my collection. Isis. It is stunning.

Love all of those pipes. The long drip tip in the second picture looks fanstastic with that pipe. That Walker Vape Stem looks perfect on that Hammer!!! I can't wait to get the rest of my stuff in the mail this week. Got a few items today but no pipes. Should get the Pioneer and Gold Smok pipe from FedEx tomorrow. :vapor:

Welcome Korzik!!! My current wish list includes a Hammer as well. I have the K1000 and it is a great pipe. I changed the tank on it to an Aspire BDC Maxi but other than that I keep it the way I bought it. Most others I replace the Drip Tip/stem or something. I've yet to buy a pipe that I like the tank ob although the Vivi Nova on the K1000 wasn't a bad tank. I still use it some. It's top coil and I prefer bottom coil is all.

My wish list now is a Hammer or an R80. I got a King pipe in the mail total and it is fanastic.

Found a Hammer Clone in Ca. for a great price. Anybody know anything about this manufacturer? Tobeco Hammer Mod Clone

Dough, here is where you can buy original Hammer - they are in stock now

Hammer Mod by Kato - In Stock

What's the advantage of buying an original for $240 if I can get a clone for $40? I'm not being sarcastic. I really want to know. Is there something the original has that the clones lack? :toast:

Dough, originals are made better, clones/copies are theft of intellectual property at the very least IMO. The maker spends all his time and money coming up with and making the product. Some are just one person, sometimes two. Then China comes swooping in with sweatshop labor for the cheap cloning/copying the design.

Someday, there wont be half as many excellent PV's/Attys to buy anymore. Innovator's will just give up - the Hammer was cloned before it ever hit the market by Kato - for example. Most cannot afford an international patent which is around 50,000 euros. Really wouldnt matter anyway to China. No one is thinking about the long range effects of all this.

For Example - Here is one mod makers reply to a question from a forum member on why they dont lower their prices to compete with CHINA

""I dont know how to lower the price m8. Can not speak for others but we can make 250
units a month. 18 CNC positions + 5 parts made by someone else. To clean them it takes 2 weeks.
To polish them around 15 days. If we made a tube mod it would take less i guess.
9 workers that you can not pay 120$ a month like they do , machines and tools , bill for electricity,
water, tools and knives that wear out , office costs , TAX is 25% etc...
I would love to have the same cost of production as chinese have , my god we would be millionaires. :)
But sad truth is that at the end of the month we can cover the cost of production and pay the workers
and cleaning lady. And two of us of course. But people still think modders make millions."""

Thanks dspin. That was some great food for thought. I have mixed feelings about clones after watching the video. I guess I have a moral choice to make now. I think we both know where this will end up though. Same argument occurred when Walmarts started popping up everywhere and ran the little guys out of business. I don't think it will be the end of the innovation in ecigs though. People will always want the new shiny!!! Take care buddy and thanks again for sharing!!!

Dunno if anyone here has purchased Mycroft's pieces from the UK, but I bought a lovely converted estate pipe from him that arrived in the mail last week.

Pros: Absolutely gorgeous pipe. Exactly what I wanted. It fit both my Kanger and my Kayfun without any need for the ego converter (keep in mind in saying this I'm not tech savvy yet, as you'll see below). Hard rubber stem looked awesome on my Kayfun. Smoke was good and battery life lasted longer than I suspected.

Cons: Nonremovable battery. This means plugging it in and sending it overseas when the battery goes out.

Now, the ugly part. When I received the unit, I wasn't aware (read: I didn't pay attention) that the battery was not interchangeable. In hindsight, this is not unexpected, as it is a converted estate pipe and, thus, is not wood designed around conveniently hosting a frankenstein setup. As such, I had no charger for it as I didn't order the package that included the "fast Ego" charger he recommended, so I attempted to use the standard eGo charger at the store. Also, I'd had the local shop wire my Kayfun at about an ohm for using on my little Smok pipe mod, and didn't account for any possible effect this would have on his unit.

One of these two things, or, possibly, a design flaw or shipping damage, eventually sapped the ability of my pipe to blow smoke from my tanks or to charge when plugged in. When I first started, it would fill the room with smoke from anything. One week later, only my Kayfun would light on it, and that's if I had it screwed in the correct place (which happened to be a very loose fit).

Mycroft believes the fix should be easy, but if it isn't, he'll provide a full refund. He was responsive through the whole ordeal and very reasonable. I recommend business with him any time, but hate the fact that he's not in the States. In the meantime, I'm still in the market for a new wooden mod, and nothing over at epipemods suits my fancy (this would have been my dream, though: V3 Calabash- Briar - Free Hand Pipes - Steam Pipes)
