It's a bit pricier than the smoktek pipe, but have you heard of the Leviathan that Smackley Craft is making? They're under $100 (I think) and to my understanding, the mechanical inner part is modular, so once you have one, you could make any type of body or any number of bodies for it and just plug and play.

didja guys remember to make sure those links are in the OTHER thread?
:D

I also ordered the skoušku for the money.....! I'll give her MiniCobrou.

Looks like fasttech is getting into the act. Not my cup of tea but cheeeeep at $19 shipped....

I didn't want to make a new thread, so I figured I'd ask in here. I am working on a new pipe, but space is limited in my bowl and I am wondering what the best way to go is for making a positive connector for the battery? Last time I just used a nut, but that is too thick for this pipe. I was thinking of using some type of wire connector, but I'm worried it won't fit properly. Any suggestions?

I went to Tractor Supply and got a 3/4" fender washer. They come in a package of 10 or so for about $1.50. I soldered my positive wire to it then epoxied a magnet to it and then epoxied that to the bottom of the pipe bowl. It is almost identical to how EPM does it except they are using the Vapesafe on the bottom of the bowl. That is my next plan, but I was just wanting to see if my idea would work. I took my finished pipe to the local vape meet last weekend and everyone seemed to like it. I vaped it all night with no problems.

That's the route I'm thinking of taking. I have been running into size issues, so for later projects, I'll need to start double checking measurements. I have been wanting to try another VapeSafe fuse after my first debacle. But, I don't think they are necessary.

For all the money and time I have spent on epipes...and I love them one and all...I have a new favorite and I just love him so damn much. This little guy is like your first dog. You may get 3 or 4 others and love them all...but this is the guy who hops in the pickup truck with you, the guy who sleeps beside you, the guy who would follow you through hell...if he wasn;t leading the way to safety for you already.

A DUCKIE original...carved from a fallen peach tree in his own Texan backyard. I love this little guy with all my heart and soul

This thing is down home moonshine through and through. 18350 hand carved and wired little rustic duckling that literally hugs your hand when you pick him up. He is an adorable little sidekick and loyal to a fault. Two different shanks included. One for cartos/dripping, and the one pictured for skinny tanks. I have a mini vivi nova under the hood.

Thank you Duckster...you are THE BEST part'

So far I have been calling him "Junior"...but I am open to name suggestions from the Pipe Talk faithful...

When I looked at it the first name to come to me was "Hillbilly". I could a see a hillbilly sitting under a tree and puffin on that thing. Looks great BJ!!! Congrats

Got vapemail today from Walker Briar Works today. I made a stem stand out of some plastic I had sitting around. I don't think I'm up to par with Abs yet but I'll get there.

Danman, you will need to grind a little off of the diameter of the 3/4 fender washer because it is just a little bit of a snug fit in to the hole where you slide the battery into. I like to make mine a little loose so I can take it in and out during fit up to make sure everything is going to work right. Other than that they seem to be working very well. Good luck and keep us informed.

Just want to give my 2 cents on the Walker stems. They are very very nice. The biggest difference between them and others I've bought is the attention to detail. Details like the mouthpieces that are polished and shaped to easily slip into and out of your mouth. Even the sides of the tips are rounded slightly. The tenons are also polished where others are just trimmed and left all chalky looking. They have lived up to what I thought I would get from someone that has been in the pipe business for decades. If you are thinking of getting one of his stems I say go for it you won't be disapointed.

I will add to this that his customer service and caring for customers in general is top shelf. I have been communicating with him for a while and he really is a class act.

I will be getting at LEAST "P" and a tortoise nose warmer very soon...and a special edition Vulcan/lucite combo as soon as/if he decides to release them for epipes

I've gotta make a few pipes for some friends, so I'll definitely give this way a try. My biggest problem right now is getting my connection in the middle of the bowl, so this sounds like it would fix that. Thanks for the advice and I'm sure ill post some pics when I'm done.
