I thought I'd share this.
At work we have an outside smoking shelter (where vapers also are supposed to go)
I went into work yesterday and saw two white metal boxes attached to the smoke shelter with a big red button and lower down a hole. They were about 9inchesx5 inches x 4inches.
"What the hell are they?" the puzzled occupants of the "... hut" pondered.
It turns out that at a warehouse (not ours) someone had deliberately tried to set fire to their locker (lockers are inside the building)

So in a few weeks solar panels will be installed to power these boxes, which are apparently electronic cigarette lighters.
and taking a lighter into the building will incurr disciplinary action.

We all laughed, but it isnt a joke. They are doing it.

I wondered where logic had broken down
For me employee turns out to be arsonist should result in a review of the recruitment procedure and police action.
Innocent employees being forced to queue at these boxes seems a tad of an over-reaction.

Pity the poor smokers......glad to be vaping. I hope we get enough sun to power these things (we are in the UK)

Wow.. Do they think someone with bad intentions won't be able to sneak a lighter into the building??? The logic of this world has gone out the window.

Wow, do they think that someone with bad intentions wouldn't be able to light something with the electrical lighters, or maybe their lit cigarette, and still set a fire inside?

They just did a study that showed fluoride 'lowers childrens IQ's', and most cities in the USA fluoridate the water, so do you think maybe that's why everyone seems to be getting really stupid all of a sudden? (and how the heck did they manage to determine it was just the fluoride causing the problem when there are so very many other factors that could account for it as well?)

This may appear off-topic but actually it is not.
In Russia they passed a new law that introduces extreme restrictions in "real" smoking but also bans electronic cigarettes "...because, according to the lawmakers, such items indirectly harm human health by acting as advertisements of smoking".
They ban the e-cigs because they resemble smoking but they keep allowing sales of the real thing !!!

Is it just coincidence, or is every country working out of the same 'playbook'? Wonder who wrote the playbook? BTW, treaty overrides 'every' constitution. Read the treaties your country has signed, fashioned by the U.N. They will make your eyes 'bug out'. Then one can see them slowly being put into place around the world.
