Hello everyone. I've been wanting to quit cigarettes for sometime now and I feel this is a very good option to do so. I tried the smaller blu style ones years ago but the flavor and satisfaction just didn't cut it for me.. Half a year ago I saw a guy walking with a juice style one. At first I thought it was Dr who sonic screw driver but realized it was a E cigarette and was fascinated lol. Recently my friend got a setup as well and let me try it in which I really enjoyed the flavor and the nicotine content. After doing a fare share of research, I got myself to join this forum :) I wanted to share my plan along with questions..

Battery: The Vision spinner took my interest. I thought it was simple and elegant. I like the fact that it has a turning knob to adjust the voltage rather then a screen with additional buttons. Though the biggest one is at 1300mah in which I was hoping for 1600+mah. My sleep schedule is off and sometimes I'm out with my friends 16-24 hours. So I want something I can depend on since I don't feel safe carrying an extra Li-ion battery (or is it safe to do so?). I smoke a pack to a pack and a half a day. Do you think I need more then 1300mah? Is there a after market version of vision spinner that takes bigger batteries?

Battery charger: Unless its usb only, I've heard people talk about the Nitecore I4 V2 battery recharger. Its really safe and doesn't over charge which is awesome in my book. I like charging things while I sleep :p

I've been interested in trying the clearomizer first. I want something that I can fill up and be on my way. I don't mind if it loses some flavor after awhile, from my understanding the mechanics of it just seems balanced all together. One thing I'm not sure about is how big should I get. I'm not worried about it making the whole thing longer. If you fill it up to 3.5ml, do you need to use it within half the day other wise the juice becomes bad? I can't help but to like the led ones as well :p but they seem to be a new thing so I'm not sure if I should wait on that. I don't mind if the led burns out after so many uses as long as the casing is colored.

There is a juice bar close to where I live where you can do some tasting, hang out, chat, buy the kind you like, and leave which is pretty cool. I'll be happy to share the ones I enjoyed after trying it with everyone :)

I know this is really long, thanks for taking the time to read all of this. Like most, I'll probably end up trying/buying other things as I go, but I'm trying to start as good as possible.

I started off low as well. About 3 mo after vaping and learning a little more I made the jump and got a vamo v2 off eBay with batteries and charger for 55 shipped. Hands down the best jump I ever did. I Go to my spinner if my batteries are charging for my vamo. You'll love it. It has vv and vw mode. And when its in variable wattage mode you can set the watts to your liking and leave it alone. It recognizes the ohms of the tank and automatically adjusts the voltage so no worries for burning coils.

vamos are good. my personal taste is the iTaste SVD. it's telescoping so you can use 18350-18650 batteries depending on the amount of battery life you want or the size you would like the mod to be. easy button layout ( imo anyway ) The button when pressed lights up according to battery life. Green,Yellow,Red. green is the obvious, yellow needs charge soon and red is dead. i have my SVD in 18650 mode with an efest 2500mah battery and i last 2-3 days on a single full charge. it's perfectly safe to use rechargable battery. does the same as most VV/VW mods you can check resistance, Variable Watts will automatically change the volts to the perfect level. you can check how much battery you have left by holding down one of the side buttons. you can also lock the button functions ( except the fire button ) when you have your setting and dont want it changed in your pocket.

there's a ton of clearos out there on the market. i personally like the iClear30. great flavor a little tight on the draw but it varies for everyone. only downside is you cant use any citrus or other juices that like to melt plastic. in that case i would recommend getting a protank or any other type of clearomizer that uses Pyrex Glass. the taste is better imo and your free to use any juice you would like without worry.

Nitecore is a great charging device, dont be hesitant on that one. my vapor store has a great selection, bit pricey
The Electronic Cigarette Super Store | myvaporstore.com

or you can use fasttech.com if you dont mind waiting a little bit for the shipping. it takes a bit but the prices are incredible.

hope this helps!

You could also look at the MVP2 if you don't mind the box style mods. It uses an internal battery so there's no need for an external charger and you can use it while it's charging. It also comes with an iclear30. If you want to stick with the spinner batteries you'll want at least two.

Thank you everyone for your response and suggestions. I took a look at the vamo as mentioned and it does sound solid. However I came across the Joyetech eVic. If I'm going to go for something with bells and whistles, this seems pretty awesome. Very user friendly, has firmware updates, and you can buy a 3400mAh battery for it. I know that seems a bit over the top but if you can get it, why not? lol

The only complaint I hear about it is the safety seems too safe. That its ok to push the volts or watts more then it lets you. Even if that's the case, I don't mind being a little more safe then sorry. I like the black casing and it seems to have all the options one could want.

Ianreign: Thanks for the tip about Pyrex Glass. I didn't realize it could eat up the plastic like that. That's intense lol

I like the Iclear 30's and the ProTank 2's for my general use Clearo's,

One other thing... Don't worry about the juice in your clearo going bad quickly. I tend to swap between several Clearo's and may take a few days to get back to one with juice in it. Never tasted bad or anything to me. No way it would go bad in a short time.

I know it's a bit jarring to use a box mod but consider the Innokin iTaste MVP2. It's small and inexpensive. As for clearomizers, I would get 2 Kangertech EVODs and 2 Kangertech Mini Protank 2. Shoot for less than 2 ohm coil heads. Also, keep a backup device (in case you run out of battery on the first) like the Vision Spinner or similar eGo twist w/1000mah battery. Both the MVP2 and twist power supplies are good investments and great for starters.

That is even better to know :p according to the vaping power chart, I should stick with something around 3.0-3.2 ohms

That's pretty high, IMHO. Most heads come in somewhere between 1.2 and 2.8.

If you go with something like the spinner, I've never had a problem carrying these around. You would need at least 2, though. I'd be much more nervous carrying loose 18650's (get a plastic battery box!!!).

<edit>

I second that previous post, too. Love my MVP's!!!!!
