Well my ecig is in the mail on its way here so I haven't gotten to vaping yet but in sure ill like it.
My questions.
What mg of nic does a normal cig contain. I'm thinking if I start vaping 18 or 24 and its higher than a normal cig content of nic, wont I become more dependant on nicotine? So if they ever ban the stuff and I have to resort back to smoking analogs, wont I be further in the hole seeking a good nicotine fix because I had been used to smoking strong nic vapor?

And my second question. What exactly does nic do to the body.. from what I understand, its the carcinogens in an analog that makes them so harmful, but what does the nic do. I know it is a skin irritant and that it speeds heartbeat which I don't really care, but will nicotine reduce my health? I'm sure the answer is an obvious yes because of addiction but I'm gonna order some low mg mica incase it ever gets outlawed and I need a way out that isn't analogs.
Sorry if there are typos I just wrote thisbpost up on my Droid x

Hi and welcome to ecf.
Nic is a stimulant just like caffene..just a little stronger. Actually with ecigs, you will only get anyway from 10-40% of what you would get out a cigarette. This is because the ejuice is just that juice and the nic is absorbed into the juice. And it enters out bodies via the mouth and nose. Whereas with a cigarette you get a direct hit of tobacco and the smoke is absorbed thru the lungs.
so starting out 18 -24 is a good place to start.
:)

ps. I also don't think that nic in and of itself is addicting. Smoking is a multiple level addiction

Let me ask this: Are you going to stop drinking coffee or tea? Nic does the same as caffeine...constriction of arteries but is no more harmful than caffeine.

I started vaping 36mg when I fist got onto ecigs and since naturally come down to 18mg. I didn't intend to do this...it just happened. I started to get headaches when I vaped so I just keep dropping down. I wouldn't be too concerned about the amount of addiction to nic as you can always lower it as you continue to vape.
