This isn't exactly on point, but doesn't what you're using to vape with also contribute to how much juice you use? From my quick but immersive education here, doesn't using a lower ohm setup go through more juice than a higher ohm setup?

I ask this only because I went from a pack and a half a day to a cartridge cig that was supposedly 48 mg (I know, crazy high, but that's what Vuse reports on their website) to a Halo Triton with their standard ~2 ohm coil and 24 mg standard Tribeca, and find it was more satisfying that the cartridge (no surprise there). However, I'm only going through ~2 ml a day and way feel more satisfied than I did chain vaping that higher dose cartridge. And at first, I was afraid the 24 mg would be too weak for me.

I also thought from reading around here that subohm delivers more "kick" and folks seem to use a lower nicotine concentration juice for that reason. So is it true that your vaper system contributes to how much nicotine you get as well as the amount of nicotine in the juice?

I read the posts so far, but maybe I missed it: how much did you smoke before vaping? I smoked about 1.5 packs, so the 12mg I started at would seem kind of low to some people. I didn't know any better (I didn't know about forums at the time), but rationalized that if I wasn't getting enough nic I would vape more. Fast forward almost 4 years...I vape a number of different nic levels, averaging out I guess to about 6mg. My favorite is still 12mg (my ADV since 2012), but I mostly rotate it with 0mg. I go though about 4ml of my ADV and less then 1 of my 0mg. When I'm vaping the ones around 6mg, I go through a bit more. Unfortunately, I don't like very many flavors or there would be more of a spread.
Yeah I smoked half a pack, or a pack a day of dark green menthol American spirits. I usually smoke about 7.5 ml a day. Two tanks of a cleito. Is this bad?

When I started (Ego pen and Evod), I was about 0.5-1 ml per day at 12mg. Today, I average about 6 ml of 6 mg 3 years later. Sometimes I'll get up to 10ml on stressfull and/or boring days.

If you're concerned about it, try going to a higher nic level and vape less. Also, sub-ohm and dual-coil stuff will burn it up quicker (more cloud = more juice).

My crown with a .50 ohm goes through juice really quick too. So I have no idea haha

If you are new and buying liquid you need to hit the diy forum quickly. All these people posting multiple mls a day are making their own juice. Everything will depend on the coils you use and the wattage you vape at. There are very few that can afford 10/15mls a days of pre-made juice especially now with the new nanny gov rules.

I wonder how much people will change their vaping habits when the new FDA regs kick in. I expect retail juice prices to be in the $1 per ml range once the FDA is regulating sales, and that's going to get REALLY expensive for those vaping 10+ml per day if they aren't DIYing their juice.

As for me, I currently vape around 6-8ml per day of 2mg nic juice. My next batches will be 1mg mixes, and I fully plan on being nicotine free by the time the FDA regs kick in. As little as I'm using now it's getting hard to justify buying more. At my current rate of consumption I've got about a 5 year supply already.

Is this normal? When just quitting analogs. Day. 2.! How much Juice do y'all go through? What nic also. Just worried that I'm getting to much nicotine. Cause if I vape two whole tanks of my cleito, that's 20.5 mg of nic per day . I feel like that's two much but I know people who are on 24 mg nic and go through 2-3 tanks a day. Just kinda feel like I'm getting more than when I was smoking analogs.

I go through about 4ml of 12mg (Mouth to lung) and 4-8ml of 6mg (Direct to lung) a day. It's possible you're getting more nicotine but your body absorbs it differently in vapor form than combustion form. Nicotine is far from the most harmful part of cigarettes, even if you're quadrupling your nic intake that's far better than taking in the rest of the chemicals and compounds in cigs that will kill you.

I'm about two weeks into my quit. Had been at between a 1/2 pack and 3/4 pack a day for a while, of pretty high nic smokes. My vape...is glued to my hand. At the suggestion of the local B&M shop where I picked it up, I went with 3mg nictotine juice - as they put it, more can always be added, but taking it out (of the liquid or your system) is a lot harder.

I'm currently vaping...a lot. A -lot-. From what I understand, this is pretty common to us newly-quit-analogs folks. Probably 9 ml a day, which at 3mg is more than I smoked in a day - frankly, I'm feeling it.

What I'm doing, because I'm not quite at the point to un-staple my mod from my hand, but the effects of too much nicotine are less-than-pleasant is picking up a second tank and some 0-nic juice. That way, I can dial it back when I've got too much in my system, but still have the tactile sensation of vaping.

Whatever your preferred mg is, from what I've been feeling the last few days having a spare nic-free tank/pen/whatever lying around may not be a bad pressure relief valve, jic. :)

* grinning * Fair enough being safe. Took me awhile to try a mechanical mod & a rebuild atomizer. I had gotten rather anxious over worries. I'm now not afraid of using mechanical mods, cautious sure, not afraid. Not scared of building coils now either.

Try avoiding a lot of negative news stories regarding vaping. A lot if not most of that stuff is genuine fear porn, propaganda. Here is a fair and independent source of research. Another good one is there.

You will find many who vape that side with life. That is to say we are not really here to sell anyone anything. We can offer subjective opinion, maybe even grace a little objective opinion from time to time. Ultimately though, we leave things for the individual.

We are genuine & sincere people that see the danger big tobacco brings onto human beings and the planet. In seeing it, thought of another more sane way becomes instilled in us. Well, here is where vaping comes in. :) According to one study by a major nation's health services vaping is roughly 95-98% safer for human consumption than smoking commercially produced & processed tobacco, or using its smokeless cousin.

Our goal is simple, we save lives. This we do because we genuinely feel vaping saved our own in a lot of cases. If you've used big tobacco for any length, you'll comprehend the difficulty breaking free. You also may not want to give up nicotine. You don't need to give up nicotine, unless you want.

The message here from us is simple. "Hey, we were once 30-40 year smokers too. Look what we found that is a lot safer, cleaner, more economical. It is working for us, real well in fact. You can give it a try as well. Please be respectful. We're not holding a gun to your head, forcing you to try our way. Don't go bad mouthing what we're doing unduly. We can bury you in mounds of positive research if need be." Did I forget anything?

Yes, of course. In the words of someone many of us consider a saint, "We're still flying."
