It is a known fact that smoke from burning organic matter kills and hinders the future growth of bacteria. That is why the morning after a long night at a bar or club, your clothes smell like smoke and not sweat. Same reason smokers are used to cure meat (low heat to dehydrate, smoke to keep bacteria at bay).

It may have something to do with quitting the analogs... not sure though.

...... I sound like a damned commercial...

Never.

pick up a bottle of biotene and give it a swish a few times a day just to keep everything level.

But he does - jk. lol :)

...... My mom works in the dental industry and I have always been well educated in that area. I have always kept good dental hygiene, now this is bothering me.

Man... you are soooo busted. Better get rid of that plaque pronto! lol. Actually, I think there is LESS staining from vaping than tobacco. Plaque... IDK if there is any change. Maybe your old ciggy-infused cells are still dying off..... Are you allergic to PG or VG or flavors? Try switching flavors/mixes?

I have less, too. But I rinse with Plax every morning, too.

I sound like a damned commercial...

I have less too. But I cleaned my teeth pretty well after I stopped smoking, and I gargle with Clear Spring. OK, Listerine, but sometimes it feels like that, LOL.

Here's the commercial part . . . one day, for a dental cleaning I went in for, they took a swab of my mouth and proceeded to impress me with the number of bacteria in my mouth. The lady almost cried. There was almost none under the impressive little microscope they were showing me. She kept sliding it back and forth, searching for masses of bacteria, but couldn't find much. I swear I heard her do that little "throat gulp" like she was getting all choked up. So, yeah, Listerine - booyah!

I think what your seeing/feeling or whatever is VG not plaque because ....

"Dental plaque is a sticky and invisible film made of bacteria covering the teeth." ( from e-how.com)

And PG & VG are both anti-microbial and DON"T promote plaque .

I have been to the dentist & the oral hygienist since I started vaping (VGmostly here too) & my plaque indexes (ya know when they use the dye & chart your mouth) have never been as LOW as the are NOW !!

I have been in a constant (@least 4 x's a yr.) dental program for the last 16 years @ the local dental college. So this is an amazing thing to them. I have explained e-cigs several times to several students & professors , we think that the pg/vg doesn't allow the plaque to form. And since I am staying saturated in it  ....TADA there ya GO !
They said we would have to see if my plaque levels stay this good b-4 they REALLY make an official conclusion tho .

I thought it was cool ....
and my cleaning consisted of talking to everyone, not really cleaning ... cuz there wasn't really anything to clean !

So I think what you are feeling is just excess vg ,
I just drink more water & brush when I start feeling slimy

My experience so far (nearly 4 months) is this:

Used PG at first - mainly tobbaco flavours at 24mg - No teeth issues.

Switched to VG - tobbaco flavours at 24 mg - Build up of dark brown stuff (fairly soft) but not attractive and a kind of clear film on my teeth could feel it but not see it.

Now swapped back to pg - all OK - I used a smokers toothpaste to deal with the brown stuff.
