Since it's been established glass is only marginally more expensive...why take the risk? I know my flavoring leeched out & mixed/mingled with flavorings in other bottles. We can debate forever on etching & safety. Vendors need to offer the option. This is still a consumer driven marketplace, so it's our responsibility to move it in a positive direction. IMO, there is no negative impact to offering the consumer what they want. If some people don't care..fine! I do care. I don't want my liquids in plastic bottles any longer. Period!

No, that was the last one from the batch of 24 bought directly from China in June of 2009. All bottles were clear as glass.

Well, fortunately and unfortunately, a decision has been made...I decide to no longer vape cinnamon. I checked out what Kurt was talking about. I think ever since I stopped smoking, the ability to nix something, including other unmentionables, has become much easier. I think this thread has a quality to it that forces a stance to be made, and I didn't stop smoking only to become hardheaded again!

Totally agree AG,,,, Like I said much earlier in this thread I simply will not buy from vendors who do not offer there juices in Glass bottles.

I'm a DIY person myself, so I don't order juice premixed. My flavorings already come in glass bottles, but I'm going
to get some glass bottles for the juices that I make to store them in. And I'm getting bigger bottles to hold my PG, VG and nicotine also.

I'm curious. I keep heariig about people buying their flavorings in glass bottles. I've bought from Capella's, Flavor Arts, The Flavor Apprentice, Lorann's, Flavor West and vaping Zone but never received glass bottles. I think some Lorann's may come in glass but I won't buy their stuff due to excessive use of food coloring. Please show me the way.

Mwa, Im not sure I remember seeing it but what exact flavors were in the bottles you have issues with?

I am pretty active in the diy liquids forum lately and there have been a couple posts recently about plastic end caps melting, etc. It seems to me that something in the juices might be reacting to the plastic. Now, one thread someone noticed a common chemical called triacetin in fruit flavored juices that seemed to be a "common thread" to what was being used juice wise when the user(s) discovered the issue. I wonder if its a chemical like that which could be causing the issues. TPA flavors like blueberry contain it I believe as well as some others.

What was in your bottles exactly?

Maybe im way off and its all speculation on my part but if something in juice can melt plastics like end caps then Im sure it can melt a bottle.

What bothers me most is that if plastic doesnt leech... then how come when i try to clean them, scrub em, soak em in vinegar and water... even alcohol... They still stink like the last flavor used? If the smell alone wont come out of the bottle then it stands to reason that all plastics are too porous. That what im thinking because ALL plastic bottles dont clean well ldpe, hdpe, pet, doesnt matter. Glass never has that issue. If the liquid can leech into the plastic and stay there thru repeated cleanings then my .02, and common sense, tells me somethin aint right.

I haven't read all the thread, but I did read a lot of it. I have been making my own juices and using plastic bottles. I'll get my juices flavored just as I like them and by the next morning, they taste nothing like I mixed them. I know some people say to let them steep, but that is supposed to improve the flavor I thought. I was thinking it was the sweetener I was using (100% pure sucralose diluted) that was changing the flavor. So, I mixed some without sweetener and it tastes just like the one mixed with it, just not as sweet and they both taste bad after adding a lot of flavoring (white chocolate). The flavor is basically gone. I add more flavor and after a few hours, the flavor is gone again.

I have 3 bottles sitting at home right now, one with sucralose, one with stevia and one without. All in plastic bottles. This is a sugar cookie flavoring. I'll see when I get home if they all taste the same.

What made me think it might be the sweetener was that I had the sugar cookie made just right and vaping on it all evening and when I woke up this morning, I started vaping it and I noticed I could hardly taste it at all. Now, I did have it in a giantomizer, which I believe is an overgrown CE2 which is also plastic (I think they all are) So, I'm confused really on what is causing my flavor loss. I think I'll order some glass bottles and mix the same thing in all three and try the sweetener experiment again and see what happens.

Thats weird sandy , with premade juice ive never had that problem hmm have you ask in the diy section ? I think mwa makes hes own too so he will probably have answears for you , 1 day old juice shouldnt be change that much specially not loosing flavor
