PLEAS HELP! VaporShark rDNA 40!

So i picked up a very lightly used vs 40 from a friend and i like it alot. But something is happening and im not sure if it is normal. If so then no biggie. If it isnt then what do i do to take care of it?

Also, it has done this with i believe every tank/rda ive had on it every so often.. I will be hitting it and mid hit, while still holding down the fire button, it will quickly lose power.. Button still lit up but it loses power. Example is, ill be hitting it and tasting juice and then for a second it will be just air.. If i continue to hit it, i usually goes back to pulling vapor so idk.. Ive been told that it is the dna chip telling me that the tank is hot.. I just really don't know.

This has happened with both kanthal and now the ccell coil.. Obviously with the nickel coils temp protection is normal. So is this normal for reg wire? Please let me know!

Your issue may be battery related. 18650 cells like the Sammy, Sony, or LG etc should only be purchased from trusted/reliable vendors, given the number of counter fits that are sold. What cell/bat are you using and who did you purchase it from? Try other fully charged bats in your Mod so we can eliminate this variable.

When I first started reading your post I was going to suggest that you had it in temp mode and it was cutting power to keep you from burning your coil, but once I finished reading, I realized that you had already ruled that out.

That does not sound normal to me, but unfortunately I do not have any suggestions to offer. I am bumping this back up to the top in hopes that someone with a bit more knowledge will chime in.

Yea, I will +1 on the first response. I dont know forsure if this is the cause but the battery cells are often the reason boxes, especiallY DNA chips, will lose power unexpectedly!

I was with the others, might need a new battery. If not send it back to Vapor Shark. They will fix it for you. I have 2 but they're DNA 30's and have been flawless. I did notice that when the battery gets close to lvc it will cut in and out. Once fully charged they are fine.

Can you get it to happen while watching in the mirror? What does the screen show while/after it does this?

I onlu use lg, samsung and sony authentic batts from trusted/verified sellers. Currently roatating 2 lg he4s in it so i dont think its the batts.. My ocd is making me crazy over it tho

The screen kinda gets lighter quick then bright as .... again.

Level of charge? or does it do it all of the time? Not saying it's your battery brand. Are your batteries older, fairly new? What charger do you use or are you charging through the usb? If all else fais support@vaporshark.com They will help you out with your problem

When was the last time you cleaned the 510 threads w/ some isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip? I've used a rDNA for over a year and the only time I had that "loss of power" feeling was due to dirty thread connections. The mod showed everything was firing fine but the vape was really weak.

Cleaned out the threads on BOTH the connector and the atomizer..... fired up BEAUTIFULLY.....

This may sound stupid but ive honestly never thought to clean the 510 on my devices nor my attys.. I just did the VS40 and the super tank minis 510 that i have on it and holy ....!! So far, its been BEAUTIFUL! Just like you said! The problem i mentioned is a rarish thing but its still a thing. Im going to contact VS about it. But first i am going to get a brand new battery because all 3 i use for the VS are pre used in other decices. If the new batt doesnt fix it then i will go further. Does anyone know how it works with Vs helping you out? I dont have my receipt anymore so..

Having OCD sucks doesn't it lol , i worry about everything and anything while others say to me " your worried about nothing" , well i have a very bad habit of worrying about "nothing" then and your response is not helpful , we OCD people have it rough .
