So all the new batts and passthroughs we receive before CNY, auto and manual, will have holes larger than our old batteries, but not as large as the new shorties. But future orders will have larger holes on the manuals than the autos.

Thanks for the response. So that would explain why the XL I ordered with my shorty had smaller holes. I really like the service and products from V4L through 4 orders so far, but this battery hole stuff is getting really confusing. At some point will all the batteries settle on one size? I vote for the one in the middle, like on my new XL manual (I think.) :)

We were planning to keep the extra large holes for the manuals, and reduce the hole size slightly for the autos, but the supplier screwed up and made all the connectors with slightly smaller holes, and it was too late to change it before the Chinese New Year holiday.

Thanks Leaford, you always come through with the much needed information. Totally appreciate that, and I am sure everyone else does as well. Ok, so I guess I will have to wait for my new manual shorties to come in before I truly decide. However, I assume that all of them will be changed to the larger holes, like those in my new auto shorty (except the manuals, which will be larger). My question is, if we don't care as much for the new ones will we have a choice like you mentioned before, or will this be the final product at this time? I'm asking because I think draw is like flavors, subjective, and I would rather decide for myself. Options being: size, color, draw, and LED color, as far as battery choice options go, would be awesome. Just my 2 cents. Hopefully, it doesn't fall on deaf ears. Thanks again for chiming in!!

Ok, I got my manual shorties with larger wholes in today and so far I'm impressed. The holes appear to be the same size as the free gift shortie auto that I received. They are louder, but the vapor hit is better than on the auto. So far this one has out lasted the auto shorty as well. So I love my manual shorty!! The sound increase isn't extreme, and totally worth the vapor that this little baby is kicking out, so for me I will be ordering these again, and again!! Thanks Steve, Leaford and crew for all of your hard work Rocking my world all the way!!

yeah, i think the larger holes on the manuals are kicka$$. i can't see it being a huge improvement for autos, but i way prefer manuals to begin with.

I totally agree with you!! Not so much on the autos tried it, and am glad they will be down scaling them. I just started using manuals 2-3 weeks ago, but now those are the ones I prefer. Thanks for the Chime.

I don't have a dremel for drilling so I just used a pick and stretched the holes a bit. Drilling would be much more efficient.

THANK YOU Taryn!!! My round tooth pick (metal dental pick) worked fine after I broke the first one...lol! Oh and twist, twist, twist...smile (I tried to shove it in that's how I broke my mini round tooth-pick)

I'm guessing I'm in the minority that likes the holes in the manuals the way they are...
The vapor production has always been fine, don't like the air sound and the dilution of the vapor by the increased airflow... :( :(

You are talking about the shorty manuals right? Because if not, it's my understanding that hole sizes will be decreased except on the shorty manuals. If you are talking about the shorties, I made a request for a request of the normal draw ones being an option for those of us who don't care for the increased hole size previously in this post. I sure hope we get that choice, because I know I didn't like the larger holes on the auto I received as a V4L gift. Thanks for the chime in!

I use XL manuals and PT exclusively, hate to see them change, I've been very happy. I did not like the auto shortie but keep it as a bedside companion if I wake up and need a puff.

I better order up all the oldies but goodies...

Buy them all...lol! I thought the same way , until I tried the new manual shorties. It truly is a differnent vape than the new, albeit errorneous (due to a miscomunication between Leaford and the battery co), larger hole autos. That said, I think that if it really is an issue for you and others, you are not alone trust me on this, that Steve and Leaford will probably provide that as an option. However, wait til after Chinese New Year's shipment comes in before you totally feel dispare. I was pleasantly surprised today by the new manual shorty compared to the larger hole auto shorty that received as a V4L gift. Please, trust that V4L will do all they can to accomodate our needs! Thanks for the Chime.

Keep us V4L'ers posted when the dust settles, I don't eben KNOW when Chinese New Years is (I will now google it!)...

It sounded to me that ALL the manuals will be affected...not sure I like it, contempt prior to investigation? Luckily I'm fixed for batts at the moment.

I ordered one of the new manual PT's, holes different there too?

Ahh Lord, all this "hole talk" makes me dizzy!

Lol! Yeah, I think all batt. holes will be slightly increased in size, but not as large as the manual shorties. I agree you get set on what you love, and wham, they change it... Smile. Luckily so far V4L has only improved on what they already had, imo. I honestly haven't tried the new pass thrus, but hope you receive a free manual shorty with your order, because seriously they are way better than the auto "big holes"...lol! Anyways let us know how the new pass thrus work. I stopped using mine (old model)because it heated up the jucie and would taste kinda burnt, but didn't taste that way on any of the different sized batteries I used. Anyhoo, let me know about the pass thru, oh I am pretty sure you will be pleasantly surprised. I know I've been!!

I like my manual xlongs just the way they are!!!

I actually pushed a dental pick thru my manual XL batteries, thanks to Tyran, and her brilliance. The holes are not as big as the new shorty mans. But I actually like the hit and vapor production better. Call me optimistic, but I remember when I didn't want my e-cig bigger than my analog nor did I want my juice tasting like anything other than menthol tobacco...smile. But, surprisingly, like with my transition to an mp3 player from my portable cd player, technology usually improves faster than I like to move. All that speww to say, be patient, adjusting to the e-cig from my analogs, then from my mini mini Envy to the gigantic (my opinion at that time) VK was a true transition. But I am here now, and I hope that we do have a draw choice option for those that hate the new holes. That would help everyone ease into the next best mp3 player... Smile.
Thanks for chiming in, and I do understand your frustration, because I honestly felt the same way until today.

Okay, reporting in, received my new heavy duty passthrough today and forgot I'd ordered 2 more reg. manual batts. (I dunno why, I have plenty of batts, I most always use XL's but the regular size is stealthy...maybe I just wanted black ones!)

Anyway...both manual, both larger holes. The reg batts w/ larger holes IS noisier (how can I be stealthy?) First impression w/ a new carto is too much air. Plenty of vapor but I don't "feel" or "taste" the vapor as well, less throat hit IMO. Hmmm. The PT is airier but looks and feels like it will do some duty!

Well I will get used to it if the consensus is people want more vapor and ya gotta please the people...I did not like my auto PT as much as my manual PT a couple months ago and now I'm used to THAT...(still prefer the manual ANYthing)

All in all, I prefer to pull a little harder and have a more concentrated vapor but I LOVE the VK for its simplicity and V4L for all they do. And YOU guys for your support! ;)

Thanks for the update! Oh, I noticed that my noise level depends on the carto, and how full the carto is. After a few minutes that sound from the automizer vaporizing the juice goes away. And actually on my Virginia I don't hear anything, yep fully charged battery. Play around with the cartomizer battery connection, adjusting the way the holes line up. Because this baby sounds just like my older model with this carto. I had to double check. Plus vapor is hitting really good. To me my manual shorty is hitting harder than my reg manuals with large holes, I don't know why. Anyways, is your new pass thru making the juice flavor change, and is it still massive vapor production like the older models? Thanks again.
