Yeah, the new PT is bomb! I'm happy. I'm tucking it away for paranoid back-up (now I have 2 on backup, an older manual and the new!)

And I'll tell you something else, I've hit some more off the new manual batt and have decided I'm ok with it, changed the way I draw on it a little and whoa, the vapor...I'm tasting the carto better than at first now too...of course I should have also taken into account it was a new carto and has to break in a couple minutes to get up to steam...so all in all I'm more ok than I thought I'd be, in fact ok enough to be smilin' and not so much saying hmmmm...

Yay!!! Something told me that you would be pleasantly surprised...hehehe. I'm really happy to hear that you are not going to buy up all the older model batteries, and that you are finally smiling!! Thank you for Chiming back in and giving an update, cause I was feeling bad about your disappointment! Whew, V4L to the rescue yet again!! Oh, but I have to get a pass thru now! When the cartos come in next week I'll order it then. I will come back here to let you know what I think about them and the newly designed cartomizers! Thanks again, I'm smiling with you!

I'm so lost... I want the ones with the slot in the center battery post, but Mark said they don't have any in right now. So I guess I've got to get the ones with the larger holes bc I like airy batts. Which battery style/length has the larger holes?

Actually I believe all of them do right now due to a miscomunication. The new shorty manuals are the only ones that are going to stay that large. But, look through the previous pages of this post for Leafords reply. He explained it pretty well. I hope this helps you.

Just got a new auto shorty and I'm not a fan... holes are too big making it too loud and airy for me. I bought it mainly for stealth vaping (fits nicely in the hand) but its SOOOOO loud - and I think the TH is reduced with the increased airflow. I end up trying to cover the area where the cart meets the batt to stop some of the airflow. Some carts are better than others, but overall it's been a disappointment for me.

I received one of the new manual shorties right after they came out. I did not have another V4L battery to compare it to, but liked the draw on the new manual shorty. Friday I got an manual XL battery and have to say that side by side I like the draw on the new shorty much better than the draw on the XL. So my vote would be to use the holes that are on the new manual shorties for all manual batteries. I don't use autos so can't say there.

I can't decide between the shorty and the regular, so I'll probably get both and give the one I like least to a friend...unless I love them both - in which case she can seethe with jealousy. ;)

6th is still mad crazy...and has spilled over into 5th Street. There aren't as many "flavor" bars any more - it's mostly sparkly, blue-lit, California-reject clubs. The smoking ban closed a lot of great places.

And after Black Cat burned down, the tone raised. Sadly.

All the great places are nowhere near 6th...but it's still fun to walk around and laugh at the drunk college kids before heading off to Saxon Pub for some real music. :D

I was thinking of buying the shorty, but people are saying it is kinda loud. As someone who has never vaped, how loud is loud? Annoying loud? Whistle loud? Buzzing loud?

Thanks, y'all!

They're loud relative to other batteries, or pulling on an analog, but not really loud at all. It sounds like someone trying to whistle but really they're just blowing out air. But for me I bought it specifically for stealth vaping (shorty battery completely swallowed up by my hand, with a juice that produces minimal vapor and you could vape just about anywhere any time without notice), so any sound at all that might draw attention was a down-side for me.

Wow i read this whole thread and it seems eveyone has a different battery. I dunno about that?? But my shortys are larger holes and the sound is loud. But remember its louder to you than others cause its near your ears. But i love the easy draw and the vapor is huge. Also i think they make the 36mg marlb catos taste better because more air invited in produces a better throat hit as what i think they were going for (for me). And cuts a little flavor out. But i love my shorties.. they last about 2 hours if i vape every twenty minutes. and they make some flavors i didnt like at first taste better. V4L is just trying out new things to get the best product. Which is hard for people that all have differences...but i think they are doing a great job!

My opinion varies depending on how low the sticker is on the cart that I am using. Those 'sticker way too low' carts are awesome on the new larger hole bats. When the sticker is positioned correctly I have to cut a bit off a condom to seal up the holes enough to get a hit off of it. It works but is more trouble then I would choose. I hope that as they get used they will accumulate debris in the holes and this will be less of a problem.

I like the bigger holes, but I think they are too big on the auto shorties. New purple auto regular is ok for most carts.

My 2 cents.
