Hello everyone. Long time no see. I haven't been around much in the last year or two so I'm interested to see if I can recognize any 'familiar faces'.

I'm looking for a new rta. I was using a kayfun lite v2 and really liked it, but the two I had got old and worn out. I decided to try a lemo2, and it's kind of a PITA. I've been using it for a few months, trying to give it a chance. Sometimes it works great, and sometimes it leaks like juice is going out of style. Right now I can't seem to get an airtight seal on it no matter what I do. All the o-rings and stuff that I can see look okay, but I don't know if something down inside isn't sealing right.

Anyway, I figure there must be something better out. I haven't been keeping up with new toys, but hopefully you guys can fill me in.

What I'm looking for:

single coil
top fill
adjustable air flow
sub ohm is not an issue
NOT LEAKY!!!
$20-$30 price range

Thanks!

It's cheap, very well made, single coil, has juice flow control, holds 5 mls, has a smooth /quiet airflow that can be dialed down to MTL or up to restricted lung, accommodates single coil claptons, and has the easiest top fill ever. Great flavor to boot.

I have 2 in my rotation along with a calix v2, 2 authentic kayfun v4, and a Ravens moon rta. Holds its own in the lineup.

I'm a big single coil RTA fan. At the moment I'm using a Serpent, Lemo 2 and a Bachelor every day. The most leak proof RTA I've ever had is my Lemo 2 followed closely by the Serpent. The Bachelor gives a fantastic vape, but it isn't the most leak proof.

If you are okay with a tank with more airflow, I'd recommend the Serpent. It's probably my least favorite of the three tanks, but it doesn't leak and you don't care for the Lemo 2. The Serpent can be a little tricky to build on at first. It's pretty easy after the first counterclockwise coil build.

The Bachelor is my favorite for flavor but mine seeps a little right above the airflow ring after I refill it (there's no o-ring where the tank body and the airflow adjust ring connect). Many people have had the same issue, while many other people never have a bit of leaking. It seems hit or miss, but I love vaping on the Bachelor.

There are a few new single coil RTAs that are going to hit the market soon. It should be a great year.

I might give that one a try (Bachelor), but I'll wait for a few more suggestions before I order one.

I am so out of the loop. Reading here I now see that compressed coils are out. Kanthal seems to be out. LOL. Or maybe that is all for sub ohm stuff. I feel like I'm starting all over.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Spaced coils are definitely new again. I still use kanthal. Temp control just isn't worth the bother to me. Dual fused claptons seem to work best in a touching coil rather than spaced.

Also, if you are willing to wait, I am guessing that svoemesto is coming out with a new 22 mm aty based in their Facebook posts. More than $30, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Hmm, maybe I should just suffer with the Lemo and wait for new ones.

I can't figure out how to keep this one from leaking. It's driving me crazy. Also, it's not great for flavor for me.

I'll have to look up this counterclockwise coil thing for the Serpent.

If you liked the kayfun lite v2, how about the new kayfun mini v3? I use to have the kayfun lite tanks, was my 1st proper RTA, and the new kayfun mini v3 is really good, I have a lot of single coil tanks, and my 1st pick for MTL is the kayfun mini v3, can get a clone at vapenw for $15 ;)

Kanthal is still popular, but many people have switched to stainless steel. It works well on normal mods but has half the resistance of kanthal, which isn't always a good thing for normal watt mode vaping. Temp control is where it shines. SS is all I use now.

Your Lemo came with a full set of replacement o-rings. Before giving up on it, try replacing all of them for the spares and see of that does the trick. It's only 3 and they're super easy to swap out.

Honestly, if you can get your Lemo 2 humming, I'd wait for a new tank. Lots of people are waiting for some of the new single coil RTAs to hit the market. Shouldn't be a long wait.

If you are okay with a smaller capacity tank. the Serpent Mini or Bachelor Mini may be worth a look. The Serpent Mini is much easier to build on and the Bachelor Mini has more airflow options than the full size model. There are a lot of choices but nothing perfect just yet. I'm dying to see the new one from Augvape.
