I have used it without a cone.if the kit only comes with one...they are fairly cheap to get....I would also add in one or two more atty's and one of the new mega/xl 900 mah or higher batteries. Did you look at the coupon code mastery page I sent...I put it in my pc's favorites so it's always there for when I make any purchases to save a few bucks it helps
