Please help a newbie Rebuilder

OK...been spending too much on vaping and the wife is getting ready to kill me. So I've been watching a couple videos on rebuilding Kanger T3 and Kanger Evod but am a little confused on exactly WHAT do I need? What is the wire , name and size? What is the wick , name and size.....best place to buy this stuff? THanks!!!

The wire needed for making coils is either Kanthal (usually A-1) or Nichrome. The most commonly used for LR to SR coils is Kanthal A-1 32 gauge wire.

Usual wick material is silica.

I've found the Evod to be much, much easier to rebuild than the T3


There are a number of vendors selling small quantities of wick and wire - doing a Google search of "silica wick kanthal wire" I see that Wick, Wire & Mesh sells these.

Kanthal A-1 can also be found on eBay and people have been ordering it from Resistance Wire also.

Thanks....I can see the Evod looks easier. Going to give it a shot even though replacements are only $1.00 at DV....figuring if I get the hang of it I can do it for about $.25?

Plus my time of course....which isnt easy to come by
