We may be annoyingly kind but you never have to worry about being called a noob here. We cater to new vapers around here. We all had to start somewhere right? You have gotten some good recommendations as to getting an ego type setup. You will have to just start ordering liquids in small bottles and trying them out till you find what works best for you. Good luck and don't give up.
The eRoll has been getting good reviews lately. What's your budget?

And, I'll warn you now, you're about to get a flood of posts by people listing their faves. It's going to get even more overwhelming - but you won't be called a noob, you're just about to get killed by kindness and helpfulness. :)

But it's okay. Take it a step at a time at YOUR comfort level, and price range. The good news is a lot of the starter stuff isn't expensive, and you can still use it if you upgrade later, or pass it along to someone else.

So yeah, take a look at the eRoll, what do you think? Let's start there!

First off, would you like to stick with the cigarette size if you can or are you open to something a little bigger?

If you like the cigarette size the eroll works very well. But there are tanks you fill rather than cartridges & they hold 1/2 ml so you'd have to have a few with you. But it performs nicely & the charging case lasts quite a while before needing a charge.

There is also the Volt which is another cigalike. It's made by Smokeless Image (google them to get their website) & they also sell prefilled cartomizers & blank cartomizers you can fill with your own juice. The batteries perform nicely & there are many who have good things to say about them.

If you might like something with a bit more power there is also the ego style batteries which are about the size of a sharpie marker. I would recommend getting a genuine Joyetech battery with a passthrough personally as you can then have the option to still use it while it's charging. You can use cartridges with these also or you can use clearomizers, which are little tanks you fill with your juice & they have wicks that feed the coil. Many will have suggestions for tanks to use with it but I personally use Evod 1.5 ohm clearomizers with my egos & I've had a good experience with them.

if you're looking for a good vendor, Litecigusa is one I use for most things. They're dependable & reasonably priced & they have everything I mentioned above except the items sold by smokeless image.

@augiedoggie,

I smoked a pack a day for 10 years before I started vaping. The first drag a took off a friends pen mod had me sold immediately. I wrote a response to a question on this page that's similar to yours: http://thevapekit.com/questions/52c5fbd23af61/What-did-you-use-to-stop-smoking-cigarettes

I broke it down into three things that I think would help you and other people trying to make the switch from smoking to vaping.

Hope that helps!
