Please Help! Confused about First Purchase!

We don't know what your friend has. We can't tell you if the ones I listed are lighter.

.

My sister does not know what kind she had. In fact, she doesn't even know where it is because it was too heavy for her to use also.

However, the light weight one was from Just for Us Smokers, which is no longer in business. Their webpage is still up but, and I've tried contacting them to no avail. According to their website, their product "feature(s) a cartomizer, which is an atomizer and cartridge that is combined together. This new technology eliminates many of the frustrations users have found with dealing with external atomizers, such as clogging, wearing down, and breakage." Perhaps that is the reason that it is so light? From what research I've done, this doesn't seem like an unusual feature. Do you think that the 510 compares?

Thank you so much for all of your help!

Cartomizers are not new or special, many e-cigs use (or can use) them. You can get cartomizers for the 510 or for the KR808D1, but the 510 doesn't come with them standard so you'd buy them as an add-on. The KR808D1 (aka vapor king from vapor4life) comes with cartomizers standard but does not come with an atomizer alone so is more limited in it's function.

And btw it would help to know more about any problems you have holding ecigs, will you be able to press the button of a manual, why dripping it is such a it problem, etc. I drop my ecigs too. Manual cigs with cartomizer are pretty sturdy. If you are a biker or something, wear a lanyard. The ecig can hand around your neck and depending on the lanyard you may be able to vape it IN the lanyard. Then you cannot drop it.

Thanks for your feedback, everyone!

I think it is just a weight issue. I have petite hands, as well as moderate carpal tunnel, which
made grasping it difficult. I couldn't hold it like a regular cigarette. It would either fall out of my hand completely or roll all the way down to my finger intersections. My sister stopped using it because of the same problem. I tried holding it like a rolly, with my thumb and index finger, but it didn't feel like I was smoking. It was also very hard to pull on. And if I am to succeed at getting off of analogs, I need to replace both the nicotine and the hand movement. :)

I assume that I'll be able to press the manual button. Is there a reason that I wouldn't be able to? Is it difficult?

I don't know why dripping would be a problem, but I really don't know what dripping is. Is it when you refill with e-juice? (As a newby, I'm not really that familiar with the lingo, but I'm learning.) Is dripping related to the tank option? I only asked about the tank because when looking up the 510 and all of the wonderful recommendations, most products had the "new" "revolutionary" "mess-free" option of a tank.

I hope that this information answered your questions. Thanks again, everyone, for your feedback.

Thanks, Rosa. Do you think the weight difference of my sister's (heavy) versus the other (cartomizer) is the cartomizer? It has fewer parts, hence, less weight?

Not really.

Most of us don't hold it between out two fingers like a cigarette, but you get used to holding it a different way really quickly. And the reason it's hard to hold that way if it's a manual is because you need one finger to be able to press the button... you get used to that quickly too.

It's not exactly like smoking and the mechanics are different, but if you give it a chance you may end up not minding the difference. I hold mine like a lollipop with the whole end of it in my fist, I'm afraid I'd burn myself if I ever smoked a cig again because I'd try to cup the end of it in my fist -- like I said, you get used to it.

I like my Fuma. It was cheap, normal cig size, not too heavy and battery lasts.

I can also re-fill the cartridge if I want to customize taste and strength. Easy hit. Feels more like a real cig. It is also a standard size, so you can get batteries or carts easily. Which will of course, change draw, strength and flavor :0
