hey everyone, I stared vaping 2 months ago and suddenly 3 weeks ago my mouth went dry. I had gotten sick at the same time so I think vaping exacerbated what was already happening. I continued vaping until 6 days ago because the dry mouth wouldn’t go away. It’s gotten a lot better in these few days and I’m almost completely normal during the day time but come 10pm no matter what I’m doing all of a sudden my mouth is dry. I can play with it sort of and build up saliva but once I’m asleep and not doing that it’s really dry and I’m extremely worried about cavities and other mouth issues from having dry mouth for a long period of time. I have a doctors appointment in 3 days but my question is, has anyone else experienced this? Was it something else health related? Did it go away with more time? Any help would be appreciated.

It's a health issue. Speak to your doctor.
I have a doctors appointment today but I highly doubt this is a health problem. I’m 23, I don’t do drugs or smoke (besides vaping short term). I workout 5x a week and I couldn’t possibly drink any more water. I really think it’s due to vaping and my personal response to it. I was hoping someone had a time frame that their dry mouth went away. I’ve seen a bunch of forums but no one ever came back to update.

If you never smoked, why would you vape? Are you using nicotine?

A hospital is not a museum of healthy people.

If you are NOT sick...What reason would you have to "go to the doctor often"?

Please tell us which other medications you are taking.
Do you consume energy drinks?
Where are you located?

Cheers

I have an appointment at 4 today. I go to the doctor so often and I’m a really healthy person so I just can’t imagine anything else causing this. Especially since it was never an issue until vaping. We’ll see what they say later today
Welcome and glad you joined.
Going to the doctor often is not a good sign. Vaping doesn't help all folks. Might like to read:

Maybe worth trying an e liquid without any PG and see if this works.
Also suggest reading:

Lots of possibles. My sister gets salivary stones for example. Those things are wild. She can squirt saliva out of her mouth like a squirt gun for a couple of feet.

The doctor is the right plan imho

My husband used to smoke and he vapes. I started out of boredom and really enjoyed it. I go to the doctors every 3 months for my anxiety, so I see a doctor often enough to know if I have other issues. I also had a baby last year and had tests ran to see if I had diabetes or any hormonal issues.

I live in Georgia and I only drink water and occasionally Gatorade.
