My husband used to smoke and he vapes. I started out of boredom and really enjoyed it. I go to the doctors every 3 months for my anxiety, so I see a doctor often enough to know if I have other issues. I also had a baby last year and had tests ran to see if I had diabetes or any hormonal issues.

I live in Georgia and I only drink water and occasionally Gatorade.

We’re all perfectly healthy until we’re not. I was perfectly healthy until some weird symptoms arose just when I bought a used car. The car was not to blame. And again, I was fine until my son started high school, again, a coincidence.

Ask your doctor if the RX you take for anxiety causes dry mouth. Mine does. Many do.

I’m not saying there is no way vaping could give you dry mouth, but you can’t rule out anything else - only your doctor could, maybe.

Why people refuse to accept anything else could be to blame is beyond me. Why not every other new thing in their life? And why, if they’re so dead set on blaming vaping, do they not just quit vaping?

hey everyone, I stared vaping 2 months ago and suddenly 3 weeks ago my mouth went dry. I had gotten sick at the same time so I think vaping exacerbated what was already happening. I continued vaping until 6 days ago because the dry mouth wouldn’t go away. It’s gotten a lot better in these few days and I’m almost completely normal during the day time but come 10pm no matter what I’m doing all of a sudden my mouth is dry. I can play with it sort of and build up saliva but once I’m asleep and not doing that it’s really dry and I’m extremely worried about cavities and other mouth issues from having dry mouth for a long period of time. I have a doctors appointment in 3 days but my question is, has anyone else experienced this? Was it something else health related? Did it go away with more time? Any help would be appreciated.

i had same problem when i started to vape, as your new to vaping your mouth is getting used to it, best try high quality E-liguid. And after some week u wont even notice any problems with you mouth being dry!

Propylene glycol (PG) and glycerol (VG) used in e-liquids are very hygroscopic substances, which means that they readily attract water from their surroundings. That inevitably leads to dry mouth. Staying hydrated is important, but may not be enough to keep mouth and throat moist. Try Biotene, sugarless chewing gum, lozenges, anything that helps increase saliva production. Good luck!

When mine gets dry.. I chew piece spearment gum or drink juices..
It also helps w/bringing back my taste-buds or waking them-up to taste my good ole' tobacco menthol e-liquid...
But I stay away from caffeinated drinks when I'm having those dry days.

The reason I blamed vaping is because nothing else in my life has changed besides adding that into it. I went to the doctor and they ran tests for everything they could that would explain my symptoms and I am the textbook of healthy. My doctor said anything new you’re adding to your body can cause different symptoms. Unfortunately I am sensitive to vaping. It’s not been a little over a week since I’ve quit and I finally have back complete saliva function during the day. My doctor said night is always worse and should be better in the next few weeks. I think vaping is great for people who need it but it also annoys me that people (not you) want to be ... holes or make fun of me for my concerns just because I believe vaping was the cause.

Some people are more sensitive than others unfortunately.

I have an appointment at 4 today. I go to the doctor so often and I’m a really healthy person so I just can’t imagine anything else causing this. Especially since it was never an issue until vaping. We’ll see what they say later today

Try using some Biotene mouth spray. It helped me when I had that problem.
