I would like to start off by saying me and my girlfriend who I dated for about a year just broke up. I am extremely stressed and depressed and don't even feel like living anymore because I feel like i will never find anyone els. Smoking cigs will help calm me down and stop thinking about that for maybe 15 minutes or so then I smoke another one. ( right now smoking a little more than half a pack or so a day ). With my e cig I smoke that literally 24/7 and it doesn't help calm me down and I smoke it so much more so i feel like its worse. Idk if I really want to quit using e cigs but I just want some advice on how to make my e cig help me calm down and stop thinking about my ex like cigs can do.

Try doing something constructive that gets your mind off your troubles. Clean the house, go wash the car. Build a doghouse, whatever you like to do. It's okay to smoke and vape so try to be kind to yourself. You are stressed out now but your will be feeling better in a little while.

Try to talk to a friend or a family member about how stressful breaking up with your ex is.

You were probably too good for your ex anyway so somebody nicer will come along eventually:)

Sorry about your lady problems. That can throw anyone for a loop.

As far as your ecig goes... Give us a little more info about what you are using, what nicotine level, what flavor juice and if you like it, what sort of topper, etc...

Many people find that they use their ecigs a lot more when they first switch or are in the process of switching. This seems to be a common thing. Be aware that absorption of nicotine from ecigs does not seem to be as efficient as from combustible cigarettes (we don't absorb as much and it takes longer to build levels up), so even though you feel like you are using it non-stop it is likely you aren't actually getting more nicotine than you did with cigarettes.

Anyway, give us some more info and we will try to help out. Can't help with the girl problems, but we can chat and help you think of something else for a while!

Get back into doing things with your friends. Stay busy. You've been here before and it's always worked out. Sometimes, we fool ourselves into thinking that one lady is "the one". It's probably not true. If it were, she'd still be there trying to work things out. She left because she didn't think that.

There are 7 billion people in the world. Half of them are female. Think about it!

Find someone else to date (important). The suggested link in post #2 is golden. Click it and read it!

Sorry to hear about your break up. Cigarettes have other chemicals in them that tend to help with depression. Most juices only have nicotine, PG/VG and flavoring. Might want to try WTA juices.

WTA contains minor tobacco alkaloids along with nicotine in the form of a traditional e-liquid. The process used to purify nicotine from tobacco for traditional E-juice is rather specific in that it isolates the nicotine with very few traces of other tobacco alkaloids. The WTA extraction method includes these other alkaloids.

Aroma Ejuice sells them. It's a bit more pricey than regular juice. I used it for a while and found it does help a bit.

Also, I'd suggest therapy if you really don't feel like living. You need to nip the depression right away so it doesn't get worse. Trust me, you will find someone else.

it could be the level of nicotine in your ejuice..
maybe going a little higher up will help with relaxing from vaping.

About the other thing, understand that you will feel better..

When my wife of 11 years left me with 3 boys to raise,i just kept looking at where i would be a month from now or a week or some goal in the future, knowing the pain would be less then..
and it was..

So stick in there man, when we are at the lowest of the low, there is nowhere to go but up.but you gotta be around for that to happen.
So stick in there..

I am not understanding why the topic is "e-cigs are worse for me than cigarettes"?

Do you simply mean that you are not finding that they are keeping you calm like the real thing seems to? Maybe try a slightly higher nic.

You did not indicate what e-cig or liquids your using, which would be helpful in giving you advice.

Really I think that your just upset over the break up. Of course you will find someone else. No need to rush out and find someone tomorrow. Enjoy being single for awhile. There is nothing wrong with being single :)

Toss the[edited] and hit the gym hard. The weed will only make things worse by playing with your head.

The gym on the other hand may do a few things like.......

Releive a lotta stress, help your ex see what she is missing and most of all, attract more girls!

Every day from here on out only gets better.

You live in Va Beach and it is 80 degrees outside. Go to the beach with friends and hang out. Check out the cuties in bikini's on the beach and stop by some bars for a beer or 3.

What about cigarettes will help you calm down vs not being able to calm down with e-cigs? The calming effect of cigarettes and e-cigs is the breathing aspect of it. Instead of taking mouth to lung hits, do straight lung hits and take bigger hits. The deeper breathing and bigger exhale naturally calms the body and mind. Combat snipers use the deep breathing technique to calm their heart rate before firing at a target. Use the same technique but use it while vaping and you will be set.

The only thing I like to do is smoke .... which does help, but this girl was and is my first and only love.

I see you are relatively new here, you need to be aware that drug talk is absolutely prohibited on ECF. Don't be surprised if the posts containing it are deleted by one of the mods.

Sorry about the break up. I hope things get better for you soon.
