EDIT:
As always, you guys are the best. Thanks so much.

While you're all here, I have a few more questions if you'd be kind enough to ask:

1. I don't want a clearo any larger than 1ml, but I want to be able to see how much liquid I have in there and to be able to drip easily on the go. The "clear and easy tanks" I listed are perfect but a little expensive. Any suggestions?

2. I'm doing some searching and coming up with some stuff, but anyone have a recommendation for an ice(...? if that mean's non-mint) menthol that's mild with a slight touch of sweetness?

Hi ECF,

Just a general thank you for being such a great resource (analog-free, 2 months and counting!).

So I use a CigEasy Elite 808 with Clear and Easy Tanks (essentially clearomizers).

I recently purchased their so-called Premium Tobacco Liquids (not very good), and found that after a few vapes, the liquid in my clearo went from yellow to a deep brown. I'm not 100% positive, but it might taste even worse now. I've tried using a fresh clearo; same problem. I also tried dripping the liquid into a clear cup to see if it just turns brown once it gets a bit of air; no change there either.

Could something be wrong with my battery that would somehow overheat the atomizer, and turn the liquid brown like that? It seems unlikely but I'm wondering if that's a possibility. If I had any other eliqs to try, I would, but unfortunately this is all I have at the moment. I'm really at a loss as to what could be causing this. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, guys and gals. :)

That's a normal progression especially for tobacco flavored ejuice. You are heating the ejuice so that it vaporizes. Eventually some of the heated juice goes back down into the clearo and brings with it the remaining juice that you did not vape. Heat and light are the two primary elements affecting all ejuice making them turn darker.

That is actually really good to know! I mainly use cartomziers punched, in a tank, so I don't notice this effect....

You could give the Nano's a try. These are a bottom coil clearomizer with just a 1 ml liquid capacity. The mouthpiece screws off for filling just like a regular clearomizer. Come in clear and transparent colors. Most online vendors sell these, including Discount Vapors for a 510 connector or Smokeless Image for an 808 connector.

Best sweet menthol that I've used is the Ice Menthol from Smokeless Image.

Thank you! The Nanos basically the same price as the ones I have unless I get 10 and the reviews are mixed, but I love the sound of that Ice Menthol and just ordered some.

The definitive resson for juice turning brown is under heating - you are running at too low a voltage.

When this happens, the juice mostly gets boiled instead of evaporated, thus gets dark brown and flows back into your tank. This happens especially with ss mesh wicks.

Hmmm... Well unfortunately I can't adjust the voltage. I hope this won't be a frequent problem... Thanks for the heads-up.

Seems to me as a clearomizer user, certain vaping liquids turn brown due to their resinous content. Burning of the wicks can also do it on the clearomizers I use, I really have to be careful to keep the wicks saturated. But for instance I find that anything chocolate will ultimately turn everything brown and clog the atomizer quickly. Same with some of the darker flavours of tobacco, that just seems to be the way it is.

Hope that helps, and I hope you post back if you find a way to stop this from happening!
