Ok, I just got my 5V HC on monday. This morning I noticed that there is a hole in the seal of the connection near the pin. The red wire shows and I'm concerned that liquid might leak into it. Can someone please tell me if this hole is supposed to be there in the 5V because I have a 6v HC too and there is no hole or wire showing in that one.
Please help! Need info about the sealant on the 5V connection

My wires show and it hasnt been a problem.I can see in there.I just swab it with a Qtip now and then if it gets wet.Its been like 8 months.So I guess its okay.
On some of mine they show, and others they don't...... either way I now use an adaptor (510-510 ego adaptor) on them because I drip and didn't want to take the chance. It also aided in not needing to constantly on/off attys on my precious device threads, but rather on an inexpensive, easy to get, accessory. It didn't hurt that it was also preventing pin contact issues (which now won't be an issue with the new added adjustable pin feature).
I didnt think to say that.I use adapters too.Keeps it cleaner.Good Prophets has them for a buck or two.
