Hey guys. I'm trying to return an alien 220 for repair due to the "ohms too low" error.
When you go to SMOKs website it asks you for this verification code. You first have to download this app and scan the barcodes on the box, then it says "congratulations, your product is authentic" or something to that effect. The issue is now I can't find where to go to get the stupid code. Can anyone help? I've googled it, and the only time it's been addressed is when other people are asking the same question and never get an answer. Funny thing is, I try to send a message to their customer support asking where I am suppose to get the code from, and it won't let me proceed with the question until I enter (you guessed it) the verification code. Thanks for any help!

Lol, thanks...I guess :)
Not trying to be snobby, I usually try to be helpful. But smok is rather notorious selling rather questionable products with questionable quality control issues. Then when something does goes wrong, they seem to go out of their way to not help their customers. I guess you have learned this the hard way.

There's a code on the box,(it actually says "Code") but it's only 8 digits. The website is asking for a 16 digit code.

Check the very bottom of the label where it "says code", a small narrow strip at the very bottom that says something like "scratch off for verification code." My 16 digit code was there, after scratching it of course.

Neither one of my smoks have that on the box. The only thing you can scratch off is the bottom portion of bar code B, but there's no code under it. Is that the label you're talking about?

Also take into account that as of February 16 and for at least 2 weeks thereafter China is celebrating their New Year. Practically the entire nation takes off from work and goes on holiday. Factories lose all of their laborers as they return to their families in rural China. Most will never return back to their factory jobs, and new workers will have to be hired and trained.

So if you attempt to get into contact with SMOK over the next couple of weeks:

Yes, you may not get much response even after the code is entered, due to Chinese New Year. I would probably try to complete the process now, though, so it's documented WHEN your mod failed, otherwise they will probably try to tell you you are out of warranty, despite the fact that they were shut. If there's any verification number or thing you can print, etc., I would probably do that AND keep it in a safe, easy to locate place.

Good luck, and I mean that sincerely

Yea that's the link where I learned how to work the app and scan my codes. It never does tell you where to find the verification codes once you've authenticated your mod. Thanks though!
Welcome and glad you joined.
Wishing you luck.
Next time you consider buying, could consider using a ECF manufacturer:
