Analog free 4 days and counting!

I love this forum, everyone is very helpful which is good because I'm kind of obsessed with e-cigarettes now, just wish I could find a retail spot to buy extra parts. (I'm in NYC if you know of one) I have a bunch of questions I'd love to get "newbie-understandable" answers to. There's so many forums and answers it can get a little overwhelming. A string of acronyms and model numbers just confuses me since I'm so new to this, maybe links to place/models you are referencing? Any help is greatly appreciated...

1. I have the njoy Npro model and I have another battery and atomizer on order, hopefully coming soon, but until then I'm a bit worried that something is wrong with my e-cig. it keeps flashing at the first drag, and what i've read so far seems to mean the atomizer is getting worn out. I've heard not to smoke it dry but what if I'm using the pre-filled carts and have no e-liquid to wet it? can I use water? what can I do to make sure it doesn't die on me before I get my replacement parts. I'm afraid i'll go back to regular smokes if it dies.

2. It seems the NJOY NPRO is disliked here for a lot of reasons, all of which I'm sure are valid, but to me I love this model. It looks like a real cigarette, feels natural in my hand... I NEED it to look like a cigarette, if it's going to help me stay off analogs. But I'm noticing some of the problems with the company now. NJOY doesn't seem like a reliable company. I've sent them emails and no answers have come back. No atomizers online, I hear if you can reach them you can buy new ones for overpriced amounts, I hear the batteries are bad, and the carts are too expensive, etc. If I like this type of e-cigarette, what is a good alternative to the NJOY brand? reliable service, prompt delivery, fair prices? Ideally it would be all from one company. I don't want to be stuck without my e-smoke.

I'm sure I'll have more questions, but for now these are my biggest concerns. Thanks in advance,

Marc

Hi Mistake,

Welcome to the forums!

The NJOY was my first ecig and I really liked it. I still use it occasionally.

I usually order my replacement parts from Ruyandirect.com out of China. They have very cheap prices and it only takes 8-10 days to receive your order usually.

Follow this link to see what model your NJOY is compatible with and order your parts and accessories according to that. The link is
E-Cigarette Models

Also, order some bottles of eliquid to refill your own cartridges and some blank cartridges as well. This will save you lots of money.

Sounds like the battery is bad is on ecig if it is flashing. If you go to the NJOY website and click of "contact us", tell them about the bad battery and they should send you a replacement at no charge. It may take a few days for them to respond.

Good luck, and I hope this helps.

Thanks so much, especially beckah54. the E-Cigarette Models link was wonderful and helped me order everything I needed from Ruyandirect.com because finally I knew the model numbers! And thanks to happily for the NYC info, I will pm spikey and dumwaldo, see if they have the scoop on a retail place in NYC for emergencies. I feel so stupid for spending so much money when I could have just avoided NJOY and got it all cheaper from elsewhere... well live and learn... I think I've spend around $300 before this forum. 2 kits one for me and one for my girlfriend, plus 2 10 packs of carts from NJOY then another 50 from amazon (much cheaper, 40$, and I was only able to buy those because they said compatible to NPRO)

Oh another thing:
So once I fill my own carts, how do I store them? Fridge? Can I just fill 50 carts and then use them whenever, or should I fill only when I'm ready to vape?

I vape the cartridges that come prefilled until they are empty then put the plastic cap that comes on them back on and store in a zip loc bag. When I need fresh cartridges, I pull out the stuffing, rinse it out under some running water and put it on a paper towel to dry. After dry, restuff into the empty cartridges and fill with fresh liquid. I take a small plastic bottle of my favorite juice with me and just refill as needed.
If you're using the NJOY NPRO, the cartridge is recessed down in the brown "filter". Straighten a paper clip and push up through the hole in the brown mouthpiece to remove the cartridge. They are pretty small and don't hold a lot of liquid. If you want to fill an extra cartridge or two to take with you to work or whatever, fill them, cap them and put them in a small baggie so they don't leak all over if the cap comes of.
PM me if I can help anymore.
You can watch one of the videos on restuffing your cartridges that make it much clearer. It's very easy to do.
Good Luck
Linda
