I bought an MVP 2 which came with an iClear 30. A few days ago, I ordered a few replacement coils that were 1.5 ohms. Then I realized the one I have now is 2.1. Is it ok to use these new coils, or should I return them for the 2.1? I don't want to ruin anything, so I thought I'd ask the experts.

The 1.5's will be just fine.

My preference when using Clearo's and Carto's. Keep in mind that they heat faster and can burn if you crank up the voltage too high. Start them of @ 3.6-3.7 volts and bump up (if you prefer) from there. If you start to get a burnt taste, bump the voltage back.

You are good to go!......;)

Good to know. That won't be an issue since I use pretty low volts and watts anyway. Ever since I've learned how to clean the coils and dry burn them every time I do it it feels like a brand new coil. I had a guy at the local B&M tell me I was going to ruin my coil by doing that instead of replacing them. I think he was just trying to sell me something different, but I got the coils because I do know they won't last forever.

I kept the original 2 coils that came with my protank going for over 6 months with careful dryburning and cleaning. Then I learned to rebuild them so in a way after more than a year they are still going ;)

You do have to be careful or you will melt the grommet. so do it in small bursts and let it cool between.

This is the Cool Thing about a Variable Voltage or a Variable Wattage Device. You can just Adjust the Volts or the Watts Up or Down to find what works Best for just for either the 1.5ohm or the 2.1ohm Clearo.

Just start at a Low Setting and keep bumping it up after taking a Hit or Two. You'll know when to Stop.
