Please Help !!!!

I finally kicked the analog habit a couple months ago by starting to vape. I get an email at work today like this.

Auburn University recently established a new smoke-free policy to create a healthier environment for the campus community. Under the policy, smoking in not allowed inside or on property owned by Auburn University. The policy includes e-cigarettes, defined and regulated by the FDA as a tobacco product. When crafting the smoke-free policy, Auburn University consulted with pharmacists and with other universities with smoking policies and also reviewed the smoking policies of other government agencies. Many state and local communities are enacting laws just like this. Join CASAA and get involved at the local level if your community has a local advocate group.

You know, I'm not sure how they can define a product that contains NO tobacco a tobacco product!!! Statements like this make me so angry. Because now the FDA has labeled e cigarettes a tobacco product they can put these kinds of stipulations on vaping.. we KNOW it is NOT a tobacco product and I think that's what's so frustrating but I don't see much of a way to get around this.. Do you live on campus? If you do, I doubt anyone would know if you secretly vaped indoors as vaping does not produce the same kind of odor smoking does. Otherwise I'm not sure there is much you can do. By the sounds of the memo they are actually encouraging others to turn in people who vape to the university so I would be very cautious. If caught you will be breaking a written rule and I'm certain there are conquences to breaking rules..I'm saddened to see this. When in fact vaping should not be banned but celebrated. It has helped so many people quit smoking. Vaping is a positive thing that's been turned into something negative.this is so sad. But the reality of the situation is they have a no vaping policy and it seems you will have to follow their rules..I wish I could be of more help and I wish you the best.

I work on campus but i do not live there. What gets me is smokeless tobacco is perfectly fine to use.
