if you are running that low of a build, probably want to look at the sony vtc4s... better cdr, somewhat lower mah rating - but if you are running a .15ohm build, you probably want to lean towards safety over lasting all day...

some great info on battery safety in Baditudes blog...

some excellent advice from Susan-S regarding dual battery box mod battery usage...

If you are going to be vaping above 75 watts I'd stick with a 30A CDR battery (Sony VTC4's).

You also need to marry your batteries.
1. Keep in pairs, use in pairs, charge in pairs.
2. Mark them 1A,1B, 2A, 2B etc.
3. Rotate them on the charger (i.e. 1st time -- 1A goes in slot 1, 1B goes in slot 2; 2nd time -- 1A goes in slot 2, 1B goes in slot 1.
4. It may be a good idea to rotate their position in your box mod as well.

I've got the osmium dual 18650 box, I'm running with two 5 wrap 22 Guage coils at a .15 reading

Series or parallel battery config I'd suggest LG HB6's, Sony VTC3's or 4's. That low a build I'd really, really suggest bumping up to at least 0.25, 0.15 you are maxing you batteries out as far as draw of almost 30amps. There is no, no, no reason to be that low, without any extra amps in case of an emergency, is flirting with getting yourself hurt. A parallel battery config you have a little more margin for error, if series you got none. In either case, being so low, and with such thick wire, batteries will not last all day, you'll need at least 2 to 4 sets of batteries you need to focus on getting to keep stress down between charging and usage.

Myself, batteries come out of my mod, get set aside to rest at least 4 hours, then are charged, set aside again for at least another 4 hours before put into service.

that's a hell of a setup for a noob. No offense... I have the Samsung 25r's I got 2 of eBay, new for 18.00 shipped. I would recommend those as well, but I would think you might want to get 4, with that setup you are using a lot of power, and nothing sucks more than waiting for dead batteries to charge when you need a vape
edit...i assumed you were talking about parallel batteries...

OK, you're running at about 27A total, worst case.
At about 13A per battery (roughly) I think you'll be fine with Samsung 30Q or LG HG2 3000mAh batteries so you can enjoy the extra time between recharging. In testing these two were very close but the HG2 lasted a tiny bit longer.

Buy them from a reliable vendor like Illumn, Orbtronic, IMRBatteries, RTDVapor.

[edit] I should add that the great recommendations here for the VTC4 will allow for cooler-running batteries, increasing your safety.

I'll second Motomudder, don't use eBay for batteries. I would suggest Sony VTC4, but running 0.15 ohms, I would pick the safety with the VTC4 and just buy a couple sets. I don't even make it through a full day at 0.4 ohms with how I vape in a dual 18650 box.

Not to mention you paid way to much for two Sammy 25r's. You can get em from illumn.com for 6 bucks a piece +shipping and when you buy two they throw in a battery case. Never ever ever buy your batteries off eBay. Always buy from reputable dealers. You should never cut corners on batteries. Everything else you can get clones. Always get the real deal when it comes to batteries.

So would you recommend the Sony vtc 5 or something different?

No vtc4's are better than vtc5's. I recommend them or the Sammy's 25r's both are great batteries. For your setup though I would probably go with the vtc4. They are a little more expensive but a little better than the Sammy's. Hope this helps. I would definitely get them through illumn. They are legit batteries there.

Although they are marketed to be 30 amp batteries, independent bench testing has shown the Sony VTC5 as being only a 20 amp battery. The Sony VTC4 has been bench tested to be a true 30 amp battery.

Batteries can generally be broken down by two major characteristics: capacity (mah rating) and amps (current handling). Generally when choosing which battery is best for your application, you need to pick which characteristic is your priority, you can't have both high mah and high amps in one battery. This is due to the limits of current battery chemistry & technology. Safety should always be your number one priority.
