Although they are marketed to be 30 amp batteries, independent bench testing has shown the Sony VTC5 as being only a 20 amp battery. The Sony VTC4 has been bench tested to be a true 30 amp battery.

batteries can generally be broken down by two major characteristics: capacity (mah rating) and amps (current handling). Generally when choosing which battery is best for your application, you need to pick which characteristic is your priority, you can't have both high mah and high amps in one battery. This is due to the limits of current battery chemistry & technology. Safety should always be your number one priority.

Not to mention you paid way to much for two Sammy 25r's. You can get em from illumn.com for 6 bucks a piece +shipping and when you buy two they throw in a battery case. Never ever ever buy your batteries off eBay. Always buy from reputable dealers. You should never cut corners on batteries. Everything else you can get clones. Always get the real deal when it comes to batteries.
well damn, here I thought that was a good deal, they were charging $20 locally for some Sony batteries at 10amp (I think). I've had good luck with them at least, so I guess I got lucky, they never got hot on my mech with a .3 ohm build. I'll definitely be going here in the future though.

One place that doesn't get very much mention is liionwholesale. That's who I use anyway. Quick shipping and cheap. Shipping isn't free tho. I got 4 of the new green Samsung 25r5's and 4 of the lg hg2 (20a 3000mah) batteries and a 4bay nitecore i4, shipped was $72. Their vtc4's are $7.97. The Samsung 25r5's are $5.49. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
