Okay here is my deal: I have been reading this forum for a few days and all the info and different opinions have my head swimming! Here is what i'm looking for: I am a 20 year smoker but in the last 5 years i have only smoked maybe 5 cigs a day (marlboro reds) i am very interested in e-cigs so i can still hold something in my hand and blow smoke out of my mouth! I plan on buying only 0mg nicotine carts. So i am asking what might be my best option for a starter kit at a reasonable price(less than $100 us) and the best web site to buy it from? I am a light smoker like i said i tend to only smoke in the car on my way to and from work(10 min ride) and then 2 or 3 the rest of day.Basically i am looking for something reliable at a good price. I just want to sit down in the morning with my coffee have a few puffs then a few more 3 or 4 hours later. If you can suggest something i would appreciate it greatly i am having a very difficult time wading through all this info.

Check out the Joye 510 from cignot.com. You can get a starter kit for $35.

What Angus said...

For another $20 at cignot, you can also get a spare 510 battery and atomizer. So for a $55 total investment, you get three full 510 ecigs. The starter kit will also come with a charger and 5 pre-filled carts of Marlboro flavor, 18mg strength I think. You can use them and then refill them with your own 0mg juice, or if the 18mg is too high, just empty and refill them right off the batt. I think Vicky also does free shipping with order of $60 or more, so you could easily grab a bottle of 0mg juice from her as well and be on the road!

As you are looking to go zero nic, I wouldn't advise looking for a 'power-house' of an e-cig. You'd be better going for one that has a reputation for bringing flavours out IMO. As the 510 has the reputation of a 'flavour-killer', I wouldn't think that would be the one for you. (The 510 is the e-cig most in favour at the moment and tends to get the most recommended as a result. I personally do not like it, although it is the best one for many vapers, but not for EVERY vaper!)

Have a look at the EVO/other M401/2/3 brands or even a DSE901. These tend to give great flavour. In my experience, the EVO/M40x gives a more of a hit than the DSE901 and has a better battery life, but a smaller cart. The M40x is smaller (only difference between M401, M402, M403 is the battery size, but bear in mind that the shorter battery also has the lowest capacity.)

The M40x has a round mouthpiece, whereas the DSE901 has a flat mouthpiece and is longer than the M40x series.

You need to work out what you would prefer from an e-cig and we'll see if we can fit an e-cig to your requirements! ;)

The 401 is reported to be activated by noise/vibration (battery activates the atomizer). Honestly, If you poll users of the "looks most like a cigarette" models (mini cigs) they've all moved on fairly quickly after purchasing one to other models since the other models produce the most smoke like vapor and allow user control. The batteries also aren't sealed in a 401 (or any other automatic battery), so if liquid drains into the battery, they are history.

A 510 really is the best starting alternative to a cigarette IMHO. Sealed and you control when it is on by the switch manually and a small(er) size that still gives a good vapor hit.
