I don't Like Buying Power Supplies That's Price Is Cheaper Then a Plug. At that Price Its Not Worth Burning Up Atomizers & USB Pass Throughs With Low Quality Power Components & Probably Mis-Labeling / Over Rated (which is too frequent).

Would You Put A $3.00 Charger On Your iPod?

I Think You Get What U Pay For.....

Keep Vapin!

5V, 1A and cheap nice find but no info on dc ripple. So small and cheap can't be good. Probably not best to use on sensitive electronics like iphones but should be all right to charge a battery or light on a coil. Aren't the batteries like 3.7V? I know the batteries and atomizers can handle 5V but what about 7 or 8 volts if ripple is real bad?

Ok, I read the reviews and one person is claiming that the chargers only put out about 550mA. Another says that it wouldn't charge an iPhone, so maybe iPhones need more current to get a charge. Anyone know if 550mA is enough to charge an e-cig battery (or heat an atomiser via a USB passthough)?

You Need 5 Volts 1 Amp (Plus Amps Ok & Can Down to 750ish mA on most but less vape)

Please Read My Post Below.......

Thanks Cellmeister, that's about what I thought. I've read here about people having trouble charging from USB ports and my suspicion has always been that it's due to underpowered USB ports on computers. In case that's news to anyone, the front USB ports on some machines can't provide full power, so if you're having trouble try using the ones at the rear of the case.

Hi Stray,

You Should Really Be Plugging The USB Pass Through Plug Into A Separate Powered USB Hub (not directly into your Computers USB Port) or AC to USB Powered Adapter (Not The Crap One Listed Here) to Avoid Issues To Your Computer / USB Ports. You Will Also Get Full Power Through The USB Pass Through This Way. It Makes A Big Difference And You Won't Have To Worry About Damage.. :D

Hope to see folks post results when they get those wall adaptors. :)

I use this small, powered 4-port USB hub... it's about the size of a cartridge box, has been working great for vaping:

I buy stuff from Monoprice all the time. Beyond being an avid vaper, I'm also a home theater enthusiast and their stuff is good. I have tons of various items from them in my home theater from projector and flat screen mounts to cables and HDMI switches. I bought a 35 foot HDMI cable for $40...at Best Buy or any other B&M store that would have run me a couple to several hundred. Guess what, just as good, if not better. This is one of maybe a few places I would actually say you get a better value for your money.

Check this one out for the car:

Hi Bri,

I Do Buy Audio & Video From Mono for years. They Have Some Good Stuff. But Not Everything is Good and Not Everything they have control over products like most other companies until they find problems with them or get a lot of complaints. They buy in bulk from several manufacturers like most others do.

But In General from All Vendors, All bulk small electrical powered items are known for being overated, mislabeled, etc. to falsely increase their value , a lot of companies selling them don't even know it, (even some branded products). You don't have to believe me, check out some of the reviews which some may be legit.

One of the Biggest Problems is Small batteries, Stamped & Sold As Higher Rated When They Are not!

And Yeah alot of the audio, pc & video cables are good with a low price, but a lot of them are mis-stated guage size too, ie HDMi cable is stamped right on the cable as 24 guage, but was really 28 guage.... Thats a huge difference for HDMI cables!

So I am not crapping on any store, its just some items are what u pay for u, I was a buyer for years with electronics for large vendors & distributors so I have some facts here. I do buy from Mono every couple of weeks as well, I like them.

But Facts Are Facts. :D

Keep Vapin!

Hi Cell, I wasn't arguing the possibility that the device may not work well, but I can see how it seemed that way. I was mostly saying that even though it's not expensive it may work, as well as trying to lend some credibility to Monoprice so they don't come off as some place that's totally lacking quality.

Personally, I refuse to buy cables anywhere else at this point. However, I've never received anything improperly labeled either. I've had nothing but good luck with them. I suppose if I did receive something that wasn't what it was supposed to be I'd handle my approach with a little more trepidation.

Personally, I wouldn't care if you did crap on the store...everyone is entitled to their opinion and there's always bad experiences to go along with the good. Look at what's happening with Puresmoker at the moment...talk about people crapping on a good store.

forgot to add - If you don't think it's a good idea, you're probably right...you would certainly know better.

What about the Car adapter I linked to, would that work?? Wouldn't mind having continuous power in the car.

I've got one that works fine, looks similar, with these specs:

Input: 12 ~ 24 Vdc
Output: 5.4Vdc, 1000mA
Output Connector: USB female

So I was looking at Mono... couldn't find their shipping rates. What can you tell me (or point me to what I missed)?

Thanks. :)
