Plume Viel clones? Are any of them worth it?

Bingo. I've stopped using my PV as much as i first did because of this. Thing leaks like a sieve. If you don't build center post you can shut those stupid things with planning a build that lines up in between their adjustment holes. That's what i do now... slightly off center post builds. Maybe i'll just find some tiny things to jab in there permanently lol. Or i wonder... does a Tobh sleeve fit on the PV?

Yeah, The next time mine needs new coils, that is definitely the plan for me - build it off center to close off the neg post holes.. I love the vapor and flavor the PV produces but just hate those poorly implemented neg post holes.

Ah damn... i was excited to get home and try, but that saves me the trouble lol. I might just take what i can and plug those F'ers.

Not me. It is my go to RDA.

Yeah, it'll leak. You just have to be concious of that when using it. Easily corrected by building off center coils so that the side air holes are closed.

Actually I received mine from wetvapes today, along with a magma clone and an IPV 2. Both are great RDAs on opposite sides of the spectrum. The veil produces thick clouds like I've never seen before. A true smoke machine. The magma produces much better flavor, but is markedly weaker in vapor production. I still prefer my quasar infinity clone than either of them.

Needless to say you have to wash the Plume Veil with soap and water. It looked dirty on both the inside and the outside. The screws were fine BTW and it was very easy to build. I made a dual coil with 28 gauge kanthal (10 turns each) resulting in 0.8 ohms and once I used it I couldn't see my way around the living room

Well I picked up a stainless plume veil from a local brick and mortar yesterday.

I've got a couple questions.... or maybe 1 question... can anyone explain the top air flow concept to me?

The screws on mine seem fine, little tricky to catch single 28g but 26g or dual 28g seemed fine. The 510 pin sticks way way out even when all the way tightened.... that's going to need some modification for sure.

The top cap just barely attaches to the lower barrel, the o-ring needed to be a little lower I think, but it's milled perfectly, I tried a thicker oring, no go... I tried a single strand of dental floss under the o ring, and that wouldn't fit either! And as is the top cap will come off so easily..... have to be careful I guess.

It's a cloud machine for sure. I'm not sure about a flavor machine? But it blows clouds. And stays exceptionally cool which is worth the price alone!

So far I like it, but only just played for half a day.

I'd love some explanation of the top air flow, and maybe some build tips? Is there a plume veil thread?

Seriously man. If you haven't tried it yet, just do it! It is so much easier to get right than cotton and wicks like a champ.

Received some today from a user here, Barbchris. was easy enough to work with,, not sure on flavor from it though, i fell like i got better from koh gen do, maybe i need to mess with it a little bit more.

Vaping my PV clone from infinite now and loving it... It's got the SS deck, not the gold one. Plus my tobh chuff enuff tip fits on the top cap... Love it...

Edit: after using mine for a couple of days, it generally doesn't leak from the neg posts even when over filled, I can hear the gurgle when taking a hit, but doesn't leak out again this is only after a few days of playing around, so.......

I got it from 1.1 Group Buys and Vape Trading facebook group. (https://www.facebook.com/groups/677997915574523/) .. It was 26 bucks.. More than twice as the FT one, but base/deck is SS instead of the plated one

For the hell of it, I found out my chuff enuff top cap for my tobh fits.. You lose the adjustable air flow, but if you like an open draw, it's nice.. The chuff is going back on the tobh, but I think this should work, and are cheap enough for the risk, https://www.fasttech.com/p/1834101
