I wish they would all just each vape a 30ml tank full of straight Vit E acetate.

There is actually a Lot of people at the FDA who view e-Cigarettes objectively for what they are, Viable THR.

And they Interact with their Counter-Parts at agencies like UK Health where the Hype Machine hasn't Outweighed Public Health concerns.

Unfortunately, our Health and Political System is Broken. And e-Cigarettes were Weaponized as means toward Agenda's that had Nothing to Do with Public Health.

The US government could file a lawsuit in a chinese court against, say, Fastech to enforce a US law but the judge would say he can only enforce chinese law unless China had a treaty with the US agreeing to that. The same thing is true between US states. After that what does the tobacco law say about intercepting offshore shipments but regardless, how practical is it for customs to go looking for small packages of harmless stuff when there is really nasty stuff tryin to slip through?

Some will slip through, no doubt, but I wouldn't order more than a few things per shipment, and expect it to be seized.

I saw it when I posted the Link to it Earlier in this Thread.

Like I said, IMO, someone either Fat Fingered that stat. Or they were on some Bootleg Carts at the time.

That or Maybe they are Counting Individual Cigarettes in a Pack and Individual Cigars in a Box?

All you had to do was fill in a simple form to declare your 8/8 products, the database used to be searchable but doesn't appear to work any more.

For example, as vaping.com we submitted around 180 liquids, which we won't be sending for PMTA for obvious reasons, Madvapes did something like 80k and will be doing a number in the hundreds. Everyone just used it as a way to keep their options open. I remember searching the Smoore listings and they appeared to just make up 2 device names for every letter of the alphabet!

Technically, all they would have to do is say 'not for use with nicotine' on the package and there would be nothing they can do about it. I do expect some companies to cotton on to this...

My $0.02: The FDA's PMTA process is going to be a cluster.... of epic proportions.

The right hand won't know what the left hand is doing. Plus, they will awaken the sleeping giant of 16,000,000 vapers who are wondering why the hell the FDA needs to get involved in their private and adult habit.

This is going to be glorious.

I'm still having a Hard Time wrapping my head around 400,000,000 Deemed Tobacco products. Even at 80K for someone like Madvapes, you would have to have 5,000 Companies @ 80K Line Items each.

    Rats a Rotta Line Items.

M2.5x3mm Grub Screw - Check - Deemed Tobacco Product.
Blue 18650 Battery Wrap - Check - Deemed Tobacco Product.
Box to put Grub Screw and Battery Wrap in - Check - Deemed Tobacco Product.
Packing Tape to Seal Box to put Grub Screw and Battery Wrap in - Check - Deemed Tobacco Product.

    LOL

I still stand buy what I said in Post #237.

And will make a Prediction: The FDA and Zeller (if he is still around) will be Pushing for a Dramatic Increase in the Tobacco User Fees that fund the CTP. As well as an Overall Funding Increase to the FDA.

    ...

A Few Individuals at the FDA have created this Bureaucratic Quagmire that is the "Deeming" with their Spurious, Capricious, and Intentional Vague and Misleading PMTA Guidance.

I Hope they Get Everything they Have Coming to Them.

Reading between the lines from before the Deeming and before the import shutdown they were pressured to go there. Between a rock and a hard place. Classic government, politicians get on a soapbox and demand that someone do something which grows the beast even bigger.

Correction. It's coming to us, Z. Not to them.

True. But we have been Screwed since Aug. 8th, 2016. It's just Most haven't Followed it Enough to Know.

But if a Tidal Wave of Redundant Paperwork and Regulatory Red-Tape, of the FDA's own making, can perpetuate the Sale of "Tobacco Products" longer while being Under Review, I'm All For It.

And if the FDA in the Eyes of Nicotine Users comes out of All of this looking like the Inept, Backward Thinking Cronies that they are, well, I'll take that Also

How ridiculous did the debate become?

Every tank, coil, etc. you buy has a label saying "This product contains nicotine".

Ahhh, no. There is no nicotine in those products. The only things in those products are cotton, stainless steel, resin, etc.

How much did that stupidity cost the small business owner?
