They get delivered. If the sale was made before the 9th, it would be legal anyhow. There's no law against shipping it (yet, at least they don't enforce it), it's all about selling it (for now).

Besides, the FDA doesn't have the resources to stop shipments from being shipped or intercept domestic shipments mid-way.

    Thank you.

I could see it now. Customs confiscates a fasttech package in October that was ordered in July.

    Wait for it.

That's different. That's a customs issue so it naturally has to be intercepted before it gets to the consumer's doorstep even if it's a pair of slippers. But as we all know, FT only sells filters these days :D.

Apparently, all I ever bought from fasttech was filters. ;)

Up until Now, I think Tobacco Free Nicotine (TFN) has been more of a Curiosity rather than a Viable alternative. Due to it's cost.

Here is a Good Example: TFN 100mg Nicotine Liquid

Of course, this may Change as we move Past Sept 9th.
This synthetic nic is offered at $300 per100mg liter. That would hold me for at least 3 years, $100 per year. When I stopped smoking 6 years ago I was paying $3,000 a year to smoke a carton a week so even this nic is a bargain and I would buy it without hesitation if necessary. The same amount of nicotine in the form of cigarettes would cost me around $9,000. $300 is cheap.

I would expect the government to try and cut off access to the product in court and failing that they would ask congress to change the law. Government takes most of the money from cigarette sales. It's their business and they have no alternate opportunities like legitimate businesses. Governments are drug dealers under color of law.

BTW I believe 2020 is the hundreth anniversary of the beginning ofalcohol probition. It's interesting to read accounts looking back at that time.

    ... $300 is cheap.

    ...

    "Cheap" is a Relative Term.

$300 maybe be Cheap compared to what a Smoker Pays to get their Nicotine via Cigarettes.

But when compared to the Average Market Price of 1 Liter of 100mg/ml Nicotine Base that was derived from a Tobacco Plant, it Doesn't seem so Cheap.

But then Again, that is Why I put the Last Line in my Post. Because After Sept 9th, Lots of things may/will Change.

BTW - I Edited the Link in my original Post because it is Now causing my Firewall to Light Up.

    Here is Another TFN link...

    Bulk TFN Nicotine 100mg*

Okay, compare with the low end of what a vaper pays for the same in a shop. How about rock bottom store price, 10 cents per ml. He's spending more in the shop than for the same amount of nic to mix at home. Mixing with $300 nic is cheaper than 10 cents per ml pre-mix. If you're used to paying less it's becaue you mix already. If you do that you know what's up and have a stock pile at the lower price.

It Is Pricey. Very Pricey compared to Current Prices of 1L of 100mg/ml Nicotine Base.

But if current Nicotine Bases becomes Unavailable, and if TFN can be Sold without a PMTA while the Lawyers argue that a Product that is Not Derived from Tobacco doesn't fall under the FSTCA, then it is what sofarsogood said.

    "Cheap" as compared to Smoking.

Kinda puts a Whole Different Spin on Things doesn't it.

    ;)

BTW - Is it Me? Or is this the way Others thought it would be on the ECF when we are 5 Days away from probably the Most Important Date in the History of e-Cigarettes?

My sense is the world's in a twilight zone.

The obscure we see eventually. The completely obvious, it seems, takes longer.

My tendency is to ignore the BS and do what I do.

However, MikeP's observation about 5/6 vape stores being oblivious to deeming/PMTA I think is the more common reality, generally and regardless.

    Good luck. :)

p.s. Would've reasonably thought this place would be flooded, if that's what you mean.

    That's EXACTLY what I Mean.

You were around in the Run-Up to Aug. 8th, 2016. And I'm sure you Remember how the ECF was like an Anthill that had been Poked with a Stick.

Today, with 5 Days to go, it seems like there are More Threads doing some Pod Mod giveaway or a Review on some RDA than there are about What is Going on.

Wait for the aftermath... So many other distractions, people aren't even aware their favorite juice and drop in coils won't be available soon. The coming months are going to be brutal. Everyone here already has a good idea of it. Hell, in total I've only been vaping a year and a half, on and off, if I'm being generous, but I remember back in 2008 how there was fear in the air the ANTZ would get their way...

I never thought it would come to this so I never envisioned anything, really. People are panic buying, stocking up.

I still hope it's not the end. Just a new chapter. Gonna be interesting.

I wanted to buy an extra RBA for my Subtank--just in case. I think mine came with V1, wanted to get a V2 Plus or whatever it's called. Found one in San Diego. Carted, proceeded to checkout--7 bucks shipping + 4 bucks signature on delivery--for a 5 dollar part. Nope. Back to FT.

Anyone tried synthetic nicotine? Kurt and others talked about how it wasn't the same and less effective unless it is L-nicotine.

    Nicotine Comparisons
    "L" and "D" Nicotine
    "L" and "D" Nicotine

I have. It seemed to do the Same Thing as my Heartland Vapes house brand Nicotine.

The Only Difference was the Person who gave it to Me told me that the 30ml Bottle of Pharmaceutical Grade Synthetic Nicotine (diluted down to 18mg/ml) cost about what I paid from 250ml of my 100mg/ml.

I just thought there would be Some Sense of Urgency from OEM's and Retailers. As well as a Wakening of Individuals to this Isn't Right. And we Need to do Something. Anything.

I guess a $2700/liter nicotine tax sounds fair then.

I think there's a lot going on behind the scenes atm. Other than that, everybody is pretty much in a wait and see mode. Remember also lthat the FDA hasn't even officially responded to the Citizens' Petition (not that I'm holding my breath).

    And this is happening:

One Voice | Vapers Rally to Save the Vape, Washington, DC | RegWatch (Live)

There'll be plenty to do soon, I have a feeling. But it's their move now.
