Well, all I can do is stock up as much as I can afford right now. Eventually whatever My stock is will run out and reality will take over. I guess no one knows who will be left standing on September 10th.

An Rebuildable rta cost next to Nothing to Operate. And Very Good RTA's can be had in the $20 ~ $30 range. And you probably have a mod or 3 laying around.

The Key is going to be the Nicotine.

But the Good News is that Nicotine Base can Last a Log Time (indefinitely?) when Frozen. And doing DIY to make Very Vapeable e-liquids isn't that hard.

A little levity and a reality check.

I've been making my own vape juice for years. My juice is only 3mgs nic.

I was going to start to stock up on nicotine base. I was going to buy a gallon of 100% PG - 24 nic.

Hey, September 9th is coming up fast. Better get my base while the getting is good.

    Then reality set in.

There is approximately 3785.41 ML's to a gallon. I only use 15 ML's of nic base per 120 ML bottle. I go through about 120 ML's per month. That gallon of nic base will make 252 120mL bottles.

It would take me almost 20 years to finish that gallon of nic base.

At my age, that nic base will outlive me.

I need to rethink this or check my calculations. ;)

I have mixed for several years but had stopped when I found a premade I liked. I can return to DIY again. The mods are going to be my issue. I had been using Smok mods which would break real easy if dropped. Now I use geek vape aegis but even this won't work forever. Anything with a moving part will wear out eventually.

I heard hemp flavored beer was big for a while. I never tried it. Can't remember if it got verboten or just went out of style. Verboten I think. How times have changed. You could probably put actual MJ in beer these days.

Funny, hops and weed taste the same. They're the closest genetic relatives. Speaking of, does the pmta cover weed vape gear? A LOT of that stuff utilizes 510 tech. Might just be a work around. " I swear officer, it's not for nicotine, it's for weed!"

I've wondered for some time if CBD labeling on packaging would be a work around. The number of vape vendors picking up CBD options suggest it may be a possibility. If the "intended use" is for CBD, who knows?

The FDA granted premium cigar makers with extensions for the PMTA so that they could focus their efforts on the real culprit e-cigarettes to save the youth and to make sure that only the middle class and poor are negatively impacted of course we wouldn't want the wealthy people to have to go without their favorite cigar now would we? Ugh.

Well, having my stash outlive me is the goal :)

You might want to consider getting your stash nic in 100mg/ml instead of 24. Will likely be cheaper, and stocking enough for your needs will take roughly 1/4 of the space in your freezer. E.G. instead of a gallon of 24, you'd only need a quart of 100.

FDA Plans to Defer PMTA Enforcement for Some Cigars; Not Vapes - Vaping360

Reading it again it does specifically say flavored cartridge-based e-cigarettes which could be a good thing it may mean that they move on to open systems at a later date or that they're really planning on not approving anything because it was originally believed that only closed pod systems would get through because it's just too hard to do tests on absolutely anything that could be put on something with a 5-10

At the low nic I use (3mg), I could probably eliminate the nic all together. My sister did just that. I'll be helping her diy over the weekend since she's never done it.

It's amazing how many people think there's some magic elixir in vape liquid.

I've always thought that CBD relabeling will be a work-around to FDA ecig regulation. I makes sense.

I've asked people on CBD forums if vaping CBD requires different tanks and mods than nicotine vaping and the answer is always

The same equipment is used but that vaping is not a very efficient way to use CBD so very few vape CBD.

So if that's true, then a tank or a mod is just a tank or a mod...could be used to vape non-nicotine so relabeling it for CBD is not only truthful but it therefore makes it NOT a tobacco product.

Of course, once the hardware is deemed and regulated as a medical device then it all falls apart. But until then, sounds like a good way to keep vaping mods and tanks on the market.

There are a good amount of people on ECF that vape 0 nic. I suspect most smokers/vapers are mostly addicted to the act of smoking and vaping and maybe even the throat hit, but not actually addicted to the nicotine. Only way for a person to find out what they are addicted to is to drop down the nic and see how it affects them. I dropped about 8mg 2 months ago and I don't vape any more than I used to in order to compensate. I went from about 15mg to 7mg. My goal is to drop to 3 maybe sometime next year.

I've been down to 18mg for the last 2 years. I wish I could ditch it all together but I don't think so. I still get cravings vaping 18.

I haven't seen any reports of how effective vaping CBD actually is. I know sublingual is much better than pills or gummies. It doesn't survive the stomach very well but vaping may do pretty good, who knows.

Even if a moment came when I was determined to stop vaping I'd have to maintain the stash. My last relapse came after 10 years. That risk is never zero. In the mean time since I have all this vape stuff and enjoy vaping, and it seems to do me no harm, might as well keep on puffing.
