I keep going back to the thread where everyone shows off their setups. I am always blown away by the really fancy looking tube type mods. How do they do it? How do they match up the diameters? Are they mech mods? Do they make regulated tubes? Where are they buying this stuff?

As I said in another thread, im going to play with some kayfun clones if work ever lets up. What battery/mods would work with those to "fancy" things up? To be honest, I didnt have time in the last month to research, but the little time that I did I was lost on how they put these things together, how safe it is, how much investment goes into them, are they customizing them in some way themselves?

Heading to work, ill check back later. Thanks!

Welcome.

You have found mechanical mods.
Lol.
They basically a tube and a switch.
Most aren't custom, they are sold online.
Some are very pricey, some arent.

They are not for beginners.
They are made for advanced users who understand what they are.

With a mech, you are the only safety.

Its not hard to use them safely, you just need to take the time to educate yourself on how they work and the risks involved.

Here is a great place to start:

Yes they make regulated tube mods.. this is a nice one..

Dicodes Dani Extreme V3

You can use the kayfun 5 or the taifun gt3 on that just fine to start, and then perhaps look into some of the various sub ohm tanks later... you just need to build according to the wattage you would like. With the Dani it can grow with you as you can bypass and it turns into a mechanical mod.. or use the regulated mode and have temperature control features and more. It's a good place to learn before jumping in with both feet, and it gives you the best of both worlds all in one mod.

That certainly isn't the only one.. I have a provari p3 by provape which is regulated and, while it's about the same price it doesn't have bells and whistles the Dani Extreme 3 does..

If you want something more basic, and not as pricey, you could look into an aspire c.f.mod, it's regulated but it's not variable wattage though, but it is a basic tube.

There are tube mods of all types.
