Go to a custom jewelry guy, all isn't going to help with the dodgammed pos atty connection, even with that Oring I still don't like it, it works I just like to change attys link e every 5 minutes so it's kinda stupid having to carry a screwdriver with me. I'm gonna send mine back or sell it, is got the copper pin and a much stronger magnet if anyone wants it, devapes BTW....

I want a side button BC I primarily run gennys, so I can tell where my wick is, in the dark, and so I don't have to fiddlefuk with the safety whenever I pu/ at down EVERY TIME, I hate that, and I want a non adjustable center pin like my 12 dollar fasttech piece of crap that hits and connects perfectly every time, on every atty.

Nobody makes a mod that is good enough so I'm making my own from now on.
I'm currently building a bottom feeder that is going to be the ....... You can check out my progress by searching convt. IGO to bottom feeder, I think is the title of the thread.

I'm going to make a copper, I think, tube mod with a proper button next. I was going to totally redesign the button on the poldiac but now the atty connection is pissing me of more plus I can make a way shorter mod anyways so I'm leaning that way.

I'm staying with the Poldiac until something more to my liking appears. I like the flush side button and tube sections, but a little smaller and lighter would be nice. My preference would be a Nemesis sized mod with a very short Dingo or Poldiac style button section and bottom spring.

The ultimate for me would be a Nemesis kick section with a reasonably flush button that engaged the kick grounding pin and a spring replacement for the switch. Very compact and simple. Given the number of Nemesis clones, maybe someone will become inventive and develop a mod kit.

UPDATE:

I just replaced the brass ''button pin'' witha copper one, just some 12 gauge wire,it was exactly .100/in dia.Actually the wire gauge was ''11.5 gauge.'',just a few thou thicker. What a big difference. Now too find a gold or silver one later.Cost me 2 bucks with tax for a foot.Just take 2 secondsof a hold down on the button and i got MASSIVE clouds. This Mod is the hardest hitting one ive EVER had so far, noting comes close now.

The throw on the switch is smaller now too,not by much, just 10 thousands of an inch,my stock pin was .0900 and the copper pin is .100/inch.

Currently awaiting delivery of a Poldiac clone over here. Not sure which version I'm going to get, but I am wondering about this switch. Is it pretty much mandatory to replace the 'firing pin' with 12awg copper? Or can I just sand it down like the guy above? Is there a chance that my switch will function great out of the box?

Just curious how many people really have switch issues with this clone.....

Well...ok, I just received my Asmart Poldiac clone, and I am definitely seeing issues with it.....

For starters, I removed the mod from it's box and could immediately see machining marks on the top ring. (I know some machining marks are normal, but these are glaring). I tried to polish out what I could but they're still evident.

The next thing I did was adjust the 510 connection so that my Trident V2 sits flush with the top of the Poldy....Well, the adjustable 510 pin is REALLY loose when extended anywhere past its lowest setting..feels very loose and not "solid". I did make sure that the "collar nut" surrounding the 510 pin WAS tightened down..... I then noticed that the ID for the 510 threads on the mod are VERY wide....Both my Trident and new Nimbus clones wobble badly unless they're tightly flush-mounted to the Poldy's deck (my Nemmy clone and Magneto are such that I can leave a slight gap between the top of the mod and the RDA, and the RDA's do NOT wobble at all)....This is rather unsettling, especially when you're talking about running current thru this contraption....

What's rather surprising is that the Switch Assy seems to function perfectly! I was under the impression that the Switch is what causes most of the issues with this mod, but I find that mine works very well right out of the box....I still got some 12awg Solid Core wire just in case I need to do the "Swtich upgrade"....

All in all, It is a very nice looking mod, but the loose 510 thing kind of bothers me.....Anyone else run into this issue?

As most have done here you might add a tiny o-ring to the threads of the 510 adjustment screw. The DaVapes clone has a rather loose 510 threads in the top cap, not sure if yours is more or less. If your 510 cap is brass, expect rapid wear from screwing in and out ss atty's.

Thanks, dwcraig...much appreicated! My Poldiac is a brass body with silver (SS?) Top cap & battery ring....looks very nice but the loose 510 worries me....oh well , we shall see...thanks for the video link too!!

The devapes 510 threading is loose as well, it's almost the wrong thread. I'm thinking about drilling it out and pressing a 510 connection in with a copper or bad screw going from that to the button, if that makes sense, it does in my head but that doesn't mean anything...
