Oh no, I was talking about the front row, the Greek stuff. Wasn't even thinking about the Vela. That's a clone that was hanging out on my desk when I took the shot and I was talking about the Greek mechs, though the Kraken and the DID are authentic. The Origenny isn't, but man it's one hell of a performer.
Both Poldiacs are back in the box gathering dust. I guess I'll keep them just in case old reliable explodes or something..
Err.... what kind of Poldiacs do you have gathering dust? By any chance is one of them and Aname Classic? I've worked out my button issues, quite easily as it turns out, and if you want to pass them off to someone who's really in love with them we could talk
I have an aunthentic Poldiac & several vella clones.
It has been my experience that 33% of the Chinese clones are an very good quality, 33% are garbage & I keep the others.
Today's vape mail delivered 2 Tobeco kayfun clones that even the most casual, drunken, overworked, under aged, "quality control inspector" would have rejected.
I do love all of my Poldiacs & 33% of my clones, but a cost analysis, an aggrivation assessment, & a morality check has convinced me there is something terribly wrong with today's economy-- the Chinese sell 66% crap but the Greeks are getting screwed.

Got my Aname Sleek in today. Wow are these things nicely made. Not to mention how well they are packed. It was like a brick of tape when I pulled open the packing envelope. Then I unwrapped that to find two pieces of wood encasing the mod. Nice.

Originally I wanted the Aname Classic, but could not get it anymore, so I ordered the Sleek and once it was in my hand I was so very happy with it! You just can't go wrong with a Poldiac! I put my authentic Kraken on it right off, and it was just so pretty! A thing of beauty, and it vaped so good! Then I put my authentic DID on it, and it was even better!
I have a Freddy Classic on the way too, the very last 18650 one they had, and I'm so jazzed waiting for it. I also got the very last 18650 Uma, and it came with the tubes for 18500 and 18350, which I won't use. I also won't use any of my clone mechs anymore. I'm spoiled for anything but a Poldiac, and now I'm going to scour the web for used Poldiacs and see if I can scrounge more for my collection.

Good for you! I got two of their last in stock, and what treasures they are! In a week I'll have 3 Poldiacs, and I'm I count myself very lucky for it. Now I have to think of what genny to get next to go on the Freddy Classic when it gets here.
Well, my advise is to avoid Tobeco kayfun clones. (not lol).
I do hope they survive the economic turmoil. Greece still has a lot to offer the world.
I won't have any trouble doing that, I use gennies only, built with mesh only. I have to agree, Greece does have a lot to offer, they are good people caught in a bad situation. I have to wonder what they were thinking in Europe putting 26 countries into a single currency some of them did not belong in. I think Greece should have stayed out of that.
Actually many feel its the rich and powerful countries that should have stayed out of the euro zone they didnt need the leverage a single currency brought them.
Sort of like putting a mansion in a trailer park. It unbalances the values for both sides, now suddenly your land taxes are tripled but you dont belong in that tax bracket and its a struggle to pay for the new position..
Infinite makes the very best kayfun clones now that they do all the machining in house quality jumped way up.
I won't argue that point, but there was no way they were going to keep those rich powerful countries out of the EU, which was about uniting all the countries in Europe in a single currency and political framework. You couldn't keep Germany out of that. I think part of the reason for it was to prevent any more European wars. That continent has been the scene of history's bloodiest wars for hundreds of years.

Anyway, I ended up buying a 2nd SMPL (Clone, of course), and it works as good as my original SMPL clone. So, I'm going to stick with these.
I did disassemble the switches and polish every every contact point on both Poldiacs. They still work well a few times, then not. Then well again, and then not. They're just not consistent enough to suit me.
Oh, okay, they are clones. You are right, I'm not interested in clones, but I may go after a 4th authentic, I've located a Miriam WTH Sleek in 18650, and it's gorgeous. I've had none of the problems with my authentics you mention with the clones.

Functional clones don't bother me because I'm in this for the addiction, more than the hobby. But the important adjective is functional. I assume the SMPL clones work so well, reliably, because the contact areas are so much larger? That's my guess anyway.Enjoy your upcoming, new Miriam WTH Sleek!!
About that Miriam WTH Sleek, I'd be getting it from a domestic online dealer, and I'm wondering how do I know it's an authentic? They want $139 for it. When I bought Poldiacs direct from MMV I could be 100% sure, but how do you know with another retailer online?

If I really wanted one, there are a couple things I'd do. Number one, I'd contact Marian and ask if they are an auth. dealer. Number two, an iffy suggestion, go ahead and order it. Having Poldiacs now, you will know when you get it and check it out if it's auth. or not. If it's not, and they don't give you your money back, call your cc company.
Suggestion #1 is the best way to go I think. If Marion tells you that they are an auth. reseller, you should be good to go.
