I know that I'm new to this community, heck, I'm still waiting for my Grand to get here! But, I've read a lot of posts and threads in the meantime and it seems that there is at least one post in every thread that wants Rob to polish doors. I would love to have a polished door too! So, since Rob I'm sure is super busy and doesn't have the time it takes to supply the demand of polished doors/REOs to REO nation it would be great to have a How To for those of us that could do it ourselves.

Rob, would you be willing to provide a quick How to polish a REO?

I can tell you how some have polished their REO's.

I bought one that started as a tumbled and ended up with a high polish.

He used Mother's Mag Polish. Just with a cloth. I was told that you go through lots of cloths. You need to keep using a clean spot to wipe off the polish.

Was told it took him about 4 hours to get it all done.

I picked up a couple REO's with polish doors and worked on them. It didn't take much to get that mirror finish.

You can use a polisher or rotary polish brush but must be careful not to apply too much pressure. It causes swirls.

Now let's see what Robert, the master, says!

Yeah, that would be easy enough. I was wondering what the best way to get the powder coating off would be.

You just buy a tumbled, no finish. If you want the whole REO they are usually on site. If you want just a door he has provided them too when asked. They are smooth as satin, ready for polishing!

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, all of the suggestions are great and I will definitely try them. I just don't want to ruin the door on my brand spankin' new Reo. I haven't even seen it yet, I can only dream about it until it gets here. :)
Id suggest just buying a tumbled door and polish it. If none on the site Give Rob Redeyedancer on the forum a pm and see if he may be having some soon then you'd have 2 doors

I bought a tumbled door from rob for my Grand to polish. It didn't work.

Problem is I like the tumbled look so well I haven't done it. So umm.. My 2 cents is get a two of the tumbled ones and polish one of them. :D

Maybe I should add another blem tumbled to my ever growing order.

Knock, knock, knock. Umm Mr. O'Niell, sorry to bother you AGAIN Sir, but I may ned to adjust my order AGAIN.
