Nice looking pair, carrielsal! Two are always better than one. They can play with each other! What kind of build are you using?

1.4 ohm micro-coil with cotton. I keep thinking I am going to try a vertical when I have to replace a coil, but these coils seem like they are going to last forever.

I agree about the longevity of the coils, carrielsal...... started seriously using microcoils with the Russian and I keep expecting to need to replace the coil every time I tear it down. Each time I'm surprised that the coil is still going strong and no need to fix something that's not broke!! Very different from the fiddling I do with Gennys -- at least some of them...lol.

Horton...you and I think alike. I have no desire to fix something that's not broken! I am loving my Russian 91%'s.

28G kanthal micro-coil 1.4 ohm installed horizontally with cotton wicking. These coils take a beating and keep going and going and going. I usually change out my wick with every tank. It takes me less than 5 minutes to rinse the tank, dry burn, the coil replace the wick and fill.

I have been following the hemp thread just out of curiosity. Looks like those guys are now testing ramie. I love my cotton so much I have never been tempted to try help, but the ramie looks interesting.

I want to try a vertical micro-coil again, but it's going to have to wait until either one of my coils gives up or I get another Russian 91%.

I kind of like the gold, but I'm wondering how true to color the pic is. I've also noticed a few places on my matt finish rba places where the matt finish has been scratched. It's not too noticeable when the finish is pretty much the same color as the ss underneath, but it makes me wonder about the black and gold. Will the finish scratch and the ss show through?

What a nice pic, carrielsal..... where did the gold one come from? I too have noticed some marring of the matte finish of my Russian -- no biggie, but it is there. At first I thought it was something on the device until it would not rub off.
No matter what regarding finish or any other little stuff, I'm loving the Russian and will "never repair a coil until it is broken" ( I sort of got that idea from the Gallo brothers...lol)

Thanks for the info, carrielsal..... I'm gonna hang onto that link so I can go there and drool over what they are planning down the pike...lol.

Same here. My only wish is that vendors would start making rebuildables and APV's targeted for women, like some of the eGo style batteries and clearos.. I would love to have a Russian 91% in a deep rose color. I have my Russian's on custom Sigelei ZMAX's and they look so utilitarian. On the bright side, they dual purpose as a club.

I agree about the ZMAX and Russian being a club..... I had to laugh at your comment because that is exactly what my wife said when I handed hers to her the other day. Can you imagine what a Russian Big and a 26650 mod would be like??? Definitely something to register as a weapon....lol.
You have a good point about marketing toward the ladies out there. I've always wondered how many women vape. I'm willing to bet it is a pretty large %. Maybe someone will come up with a wrap that can take heat (so to speak) for the RBA's and RBT's. Then you would be able to match your device to the shoes you wear each day -- that was not a sexist comment.... I know how my wife is about being color coordinated and I think it is wonderful and so very feminine especially since I'm always walking around in plaids and stripes!!

Horton, in the last year I have seen a few eGo style batteries, clearos and box mods released that are targeted to women. These come in colors, crystals, and glitter. With the exception of the pink Provari mini, I haven't seen a rebuildable or APV that doesn't look like it's designed for a man.

I recently ordered an MVP shine only because I liked the way it looked. I think the bigger question is how many women use APV's and rebuildables?

This is the MVP I ordered. That clearo's going to have to go, though.

Bear in mind the "Original" Russian 91 is a clone of the Kayfun which has also been cloned under various Kayfun names. So what we have in the case of the Russian 91 is clone of a clone. I prefer to not think of them as fakes rather very good impostors.

Yea...sometimes I forget that the Russian is a clone

Nice, carrielsal..... I can see why only the clearo's will be on it. Would it be sexist or chauvanistic (sp?) to opine that many women do use APV's or rebuildables under the "tutelage" of their man or SO? I know that is how it is around here....lol
I get so tongue ties when talking about clones and cones of clones..... It is especially vexing when talking about Kayfuns and Russians. From what I understand the fellow who designed the Russian and 91% was originally with the Kayfun "crew" and left for whatever reason in a friendly manner and jobs out the mfg of the Russians in China (hope I am right with the story). That makes it a tough call for me. I best shut up before I get myself any more confused....lol

Oh, you're a funny guy. If I waited around for a man to fix the things that needed fixing, I might as well go out and hire some.
