So I got my 510 in the mail today (and I'm in love!), and it came with 5 prefilled carts. Not liking the flavor it came with I pulled the poly out of it rinsed out the the cart and poly, patted down the poly and let it air dry then added a few drops of the vg menthol I got with the kit.

In one of the blanks that came on the end or the atty I cut up a teabag (raspberry bag + menthol is actually pretty tasty for the record.) and used a few drops of the same liquid.

Not while I was running around I noticed that the poly cart (which fit better so I didn't have to worry about the small leak that I had with the blank/teabag cart) and I noticed that the poly had less vapor than the teabag cart.

***update: so I'm sitting here vaping away on my new toy and I think the lack of vape was the battery dying cause their about equal now, so yay!

But my question is which do you guys feel is better, polyfil or the teabag method? And yes i know it's all personal preference but I would like some over all suggestions as I'm still way way way new at this.

Thanks in advance.

Haven't had that issue with the polyfil before, but I haven't used the wally world poly yet either. I will warn that the flavored teabags will leave a flavor on the atty. Good or bad is up to you, I like the raspberry + menthol so it's cool for now, but I'll have to clean the hell out of the atty before using another flavor or make this a dedicated atty, which makes me happy I have more attys on the way :)

If you get the Lipton Pyramid Tea Bags they will not leave a taste or any flavor. You can always rinse them and use them over and over again. The secret with the PTB is all in the folding and has been my favorite since I started vaping. If you use Fluval you will want to purchase the foam pads, NOT the polishing pads. Good Luck!

Fluval "Water Polishing Pad" in blue box with white lettering. Only place we could find it was at Petco or Petsmart. Used for cleaning aquarium water. Separate sheets and cut to size. Will last for a very, very long time. Bought ours late last summer and still have most of the box.

Hummm ... lightinup said not the polishing pad. Though, I thought I read the 300/400 series was the one to get from the pet store.

I use cheap coffee filters with my Volcano and love them. They tend to leak a little with my Magma, but probably will work when I get that worked out. The blue foam works real well on the Magma, but to me on the Volcano, not a lot better than the stock carts.

The nice thing about these mods is its very cheap to try them. Even if it doesn't work you're only out a couple of bucks and a little time.

I have to ditto ChuckB. For no reason other than curiosity, I tried the coffe filter mod. Very pleasantly surprised. I'm new at this so not much to compare to but, for now at least, I can't imagine better vaping.

I just rolled one up, stuck it in cut it off and vaped. Twice now, I did not roll enough. They slid out of the cart when pulling out of atty. Simply roll a little more and stick it in along side. It's not rocket science. Just be sure the filter doesn't touch the atty. Vapes like a Choo Choo train! :)

Go for it!
