Hi, just wondering if anyone has any tips on this issue that has recently started affecting my Reo. I find the switch doesn't always make good contact with the battery, and it misfires often. I also notice small sparks between the battery positive and the switch when activating it indicating a poor connection. I don't know what's changed as it used to be fine. Is it possible part of the switch is worn or something? I bought the Reo second hand and I vaguely remember some solder being on the contact which looks like its not there now. Should there be a blob of solder there?

Thanks

What looks like solder is probably the Noalox. If it is gone, that may be the answer to your issue. Take an emery board and clean the tip of the battery contact, then put a small dot of Noalox on the tip. That should resolve your misfires and sparks. :) Keep us posted.

It should look like this
