By making this post I'm making a public confession of a momentary lapse of reason.

I lost two LR atomizers today...
The first was a dropping casualty. I'd been using it for a while and I guess I got my money's worth out of it. So, I broke out a brand new one ...
Blew it out, put it on my PV ... at which point my brain went on vacation ...
I put a drip tip on it, put it in my mouth and hit the fire button! (NO juice!!!)
It popped instantly. I could feel the pressure wave, almost like popping a small chewing gum bubble in your mouth. Has anyone else been stupid enough to experience that?

Well, I checked the resistance. Something like 0.45 milliohms. Tossed it.

Been there don that just this past weekend. LOL

I was spacing out on the PC.

I always try to put the atty in a cart condom and fill the atty with juice just so the element is covered if the atty has a high bridge I will fill it over the bridge, let it sit about 5-10, Blow it out a little and then go. That way all the wick and bridge is soaked with juice, this will keep the wick from scorching or getting a burnt taste when braking in a new atty.

Well, MXBNW, I knew better than what I actually did. And, MsN, I am a bit surprised at how it popped immediately. It was just like when you turned the switch on an old incandescent light bulb on the day it was destined to burn out, poof! All done.

Perhaps this atomizer was defective and that's why it popped immediately upon being powered up? In any case, I won't do it again!

I've had new attys do this popping noise, esp if they are dry. but they are still fine, did you at least try to go ahead and drip and vape with it ?
I measured the resistance at less than 1/50th of what it should have read, and tossed it. Lots, if not all, atomizers make popping sounds. This was quite different. I guess I'll never know whether it was defective, or if I blew it up out of carelessness. Doesn't matter, it's gone. And, I learned to be more careful with new atomizers. :)
