I have a cartomizer that pops in a way I have not read about (or successfully searched for) ... it's a Boge standard resistance 510 carto with adaptor on a kr808 auto battery. When I draw from it, it works normally, but as soon as I stop and the battery shuts off, there is a single pop or crackle, consistent every time. It's not the sizzle and pop that happens as the coil heats, or at least it's not what I normally hear from cartomizers (it does make that sound during the draw).

This is the first time I am trying this carto (first one out of the pack) with this adaptor setup. The juice is dekang nuport 24mg, fresh fill (maybe a tad over 20 drops).

Anyone experience this? Could it be related to the fill level and perhaps will go away over time? Or is it a faulty carto or one that needs adjustment?

Hello and welcome to ecf!

I haven't had that specific issue with cartos, and I used the lr boges a lot when I first started, but I would think that if you are getting a satisfying vape, then the pop might not matter. Just make sure it is totally saturated before your use it, which may mean letting it sit overnight after you fill it.

But maybe somebody can give you a more specific answer...?

If I can easily blow any juice out of a cartomizer, I feel it's definitely overfilled. If it's spitting juice, that'd be another sign of overfilling. As you are dripping into it, make sure all the drips go down the edges and not the center.

Otherwise, definitely try another. Boge carto's are usually pretty good in my experience, but maybe you did get a defective one.
